Even in death, this saguaro stands majestically sunset after sunset. Although I love the beauty of nature, I’m not particularly a nature conservationists by any mean but when I see a dead saguaro it gives me pause. I often wonder how old it was and what was the area like when it first started to grow. The average lifespan is thought to be 150-175 years and some believe over 200 years. They are a lot bigger in person than most people realize. They can weigh 6 tons or more and grow as high as 50 feet. They only grow in parts of the Sonoran Desert which include Parts of Arizona, California and Mexico. That’s why you see so many of my images with them included. .

Elk in Arizona - When I saw these elk in this green valley I almost though I was back Yellowstone or The Grand Tetons but I was still in Arizona! When I tell people, I am from Arizona they often picture saguaro cactus. Now I have a great photo really confuse them. How man elk can you count in this image? The second image almost captures the whole herd.
I had the pleasure of shooting this adorable little family from Utah tonight! How cute are these two? Floral crown from @thewildfloweraz
