🍼Thirty weeks 🍼 . Dertig weken zwanger! Wat een mooie mijlpaal weer 💙 . Ik doe het ondertussen lekker rustig aan hoor. Stapje terug met sporten en nog maar vier weken werken voordat ik met verlof ga ✌️ . Gelukkig niet heel veel klachten maar het lastige blijft mijn schildklier. Vorige week zat ik weer bij de internist-endocrinoloog. Mijn T4 blijft maar omlaag kruipen terwijl ik al vijf keer opgehoogd ben met mijn medicatie deze zwangerschap. Ik heb nog nooit zo'n hoge dosering gehad 😕 . Nu een week later voel ik al aan mijn lijf en gemoedstoestand dat de ophoging effect heeft. Gelukkig maar want voldoende schildklier hormonen zijn nodig voor de gezondheid van de baby boy! 👶 . Ik denk veel na over mijn schildklier probleem en hoe ik het anders wil gaan aanpakken na deze zwangerschap. Inmiddels ben ik ervaringsdeskundige wat schildklierproblemen betreft en ik ben me volop aan het inlezen over de betrekking van voeding op de werking van de schildklier 🍞 . Of ik met voeding de werking van mijn schildklier kan verbeteren, ga ik ervaren. 13 days.⠀ ⠀ It’s been 13 days since I’ve really posted here besides earlier. ⠀ ⠀ If you are here, its because we connect in someway and that means we could be friends IRL. So, I share my life because I love connecting with other people. I am a SAHM and honestly don’t get out as much as I would like.⠀ ⠀ Some mothers rock being able to suck up the stress of handling 4 humans by herself out in public, I am not that mother.⠀ ⠀ My kids ages are almost sweet (hahaha) 16, questions everything I say to him 9 year old, your not suppose to say bossy — so future leader 5 year old and her “twin” 3 year old brother. Im not complaining, that is real life!⠀ ⠀ Then on top of keeping them alive, we just moved back home after 5 years 3.5 hours away. We left with 2 kids and came back with 2 more. Which means we also accumulated 5 years + 2 extra humans worth of shit to go through. Add in down sizing tremendously to fit said “shit” into a 1930’s stucco house and forget about my mental energy for anything else. ⠀ ⠀ If you have been here awhile, you know that I have chronic depression and have had postpartum depression after all 4 of my children. I just came out of that cloud 7 months ago. I have been working overtime in mental self care to stay out because of all the above stress. I’m not apologizing for that. I am apologizing that I didn’t better communicate that with you.⠀ ⠀ You know, I once felt so alone until a stranger shared her story. I connected with her and then we became. That internet friendship became an in real life friendship. Now she is someone that is in my corner and that is why I share my story. I want to return the favor. ⠀ ⠀ Anyways. ⠀ ⠀ Thank you for your continued support and friendship! ❤️

My sad-ass but delicious dinner. Our grill ran out of propane during the cooking process 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to finish the chicken off in the oven but at the same time, my husband was running out the door and one kid was whining and another was crying...ughhh. At any rate, the hubs and I ate 2.5 hours later than we intended but the food was still good. Don’t get me wrong—nutrition, proper thyroid medication, detoxification, and supplementation, are all SO important when it comes to healing. ✨ . Why am I still feeling like crap?!” 😫 . I was not even realizing how my own thoughts were sabotaging my OWN healing progress. . . It’s this voice in your head that sounds like: 🗣 “My body just can’t do anything!” Or 🗣 “ I’m just never going to get better!” . Your cells hear this and your body respond accordingly. Here’s how you can rewrite these stories: . . ❤️ “ My body needs rest right now and that’s perfectly ok.” . . ❤️ “ This symptom is temporary and my body is healing in its own time.” . . If you are interested in preventing disease and cleansing your body of toxins and chemicals, your circulatory system needs to be strong.⁠ ⁠ As mentioned in a previous post (about a week ago) the lymphatic system is involved in flushing out toxins.⁠ ⁠ If there is a blockage we can end up with a build-up of wastes. Everyone sees me doing the craziest moves. . . . That’s because I’m a nut who likes to push myself to the edge of throwing up when I workout. 😂😂 . . . But when I get to that point, or my legs don’t want to move, or I need to catch my breath - I USE THE MODIFIERS. . . . This morning’s work out was straight up crazy ass jump moves. I personally LOVE them - but I can’t get through the full intervals in the second round - I go as long as I can and then take the modification. . . . I’ve posted a couple of moves that had me ready to lay in a puddle on the floor, but I chose to keep moving in a slower, lower impact way. . . . ANYONE can do these workouts - you just can’t let your ego get in the way. 😉

Have you ever wondered if the thing you are doing is the “right” thing or what you should be doing? . . Someone said to me today that the path to take may be where you are finding your passion right now. . . My gosh did that resonate! I’ve been having this internal struggle about what I should be doing and if what I enjoy doing is the right thing for me to do! . . My thought is..... . . Does it make you happy? Does it make your heart sing? Does it make you dance 💃 around your office to country music? . . Then do it! Attention scattered in a million different directions never produces killer results! Right? Right! . . 💜
I didn’t notice the look on my face until I started typing up this post. This post was supposed to be about skincare and the natural makeup look, but what caught my attention was my eyes...do you see it? The look of feeling empty and withdrawn from the world. I look so well put together, yet my eyes say I’m not well. ⠀⠀ And I really wasn’t well that day, I had a hypothyroid “flare up” that made me feel energy-less, exhausted, headache, feeling groggy and filled with brain fog...similar symptoms of depression. ⠀⠀ It reminded me to do a mental health check on myself and my friends. ⠀⠀ Do you ever find yourself feeling that way? What about your friends? When was the last time you looked your friend in the eye and asked them if they’re alright? Make sure to watch for the warning signs, and don’t take anything lightly. ⠀⠀ And be sure to seek help if there are any warning signs for you or any of your loved ones. You can go to sites like mentalhealthline.org or samhsa.org for tips and advice.
