From @blackmentalwellness via @lionessgoesroar : Here's a tip: If someone says "I'm thinking about going to therapy", DO NOT ask them what is "WRONG"! If someone is crying or seems to be upset, DO NOT ask them what is "WRONG"! Ask "what happened", "are you ok" or "do you want to talk". Using the word "wrong" implies having a feeling or emotion other than happy or smiling is unacceptable. When used to someone about their mental wellness, it implies something must be "wrong" with them for wanting to go to therapy. THERAPY ISN'T A BAD WORD! Let's stop making each other seem like we are "wrong" or "crazy" for having feelings & wanting to heal & grow. We have got to end the stigma!!! #therapyisnotabadword #therapyisdope #stopsayingwhatswrong #mentalhealthawareness #mentalwellness #mentalhealth #endthestigma #silencetheshame #therapy #BlackMentalWellness #MinorityMentalHealthMonth #Therapy #MentalHealthAwarenessintheBlackCommunity

Had a great time tonight at the @silencetheshame event on trauma and PTSD in the black community. @dr.sarahvinson @dr_ayanna_a and the other members on the panel did a great job. @shantidas404 was her amazing authentic and vulnerable self. Thank you. #blackmentalhealth #blackmentalwellness #blackcommunity #blackmentalhealthmatters #silencetheshame
What an amazing conversation tonight surrounding emotional trauma and the connections to the cultural and socioeconomical issues that affect a lot of black and brown communities. I felt SO encouraged and inspired seeing myself represented in the panel and room of black psychologists, psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors! Thank you @silencetheshame for putting on a great event and continuing this important conversation! #silencetheshame #mentalhealthawareness #minoritymentalhealthmonth #mentalhealth #jointheconversation

Your past is done. You can't change it, but you can make different choices moving forward if you want a different outcome. You get to create a new beginning with each new choice. Let your new actions speak for who you are and what's really in your heart. Everybody has failed at something, unless you've never tried to do anything. Consider these failures as opportunities to learn and grow. They help shape you into the person you are, but they do not define you. Think about changing your mindset, to focus on the positive aspects and the things that you are able to change. Make a new plan, and keep on keeping on. "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." Follow @ichoose2livemedia
Excited to moderate our #silencetheshame conversation around trauma in our community tonight! Thank you @atlgathers for partnering with us! July is minority mental health awareness month #trauma #blackmentalhealth #wellness #selfcare 🦋 @silencetheshame
Swipe left!! ⬅️ Our young people were speaking these same facts on @iChoose2livemedia. The question we asked them was, "Why do it for the gram?" ⁣ ⁣ But why do the most period, on and off social media? Some of it is because you like nice things or just want to share, but other times, you're shining a light on your insecurities and lack of confidence in who you are.⁣ ⁣ @barackobama is right though. It can become stressful and really impact your well being, if you're doing it to fit in, because that's not who you really are. You are enough without any extras. Believe that! Keep shining the way that you are. ☀️💎👑⁣ ⁣ Follow @ichoose2livemedia for more! #RP @blackenterprise

Entrepreneurship life is not rainbow and sunshine.Everything falls on you. SACRIFICES and RISKS have to be made now to live the life I WANT. I can easily get a JOB like next week becuase of my CREDENTIALS. A 9-5 cripples my CREATIVITY and control my TIME so that's a NO NO. The point of it all, if you don't build your dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs. #reclaimingmytime #mentalhealth #trauma #thoughts : : : Free 20 minutes Wellness consultation at www.wholistiklp.com ..........., email  Wholistiklp@gmail.com..............call 973-910-8470 : : : #mentalhealth #therapeuticconversations #therapisthumor #silencetheshame #breakthecycle #breakthestigma #selflove #therapy #holistic #health #blackmentalhealthmatters #ptsd #anxiety #depression #family #healer #instagram #blackmentalhealth   #feelings #thoughts #fitness #june #innerself#selfcare   #psychology   #selflove #relationships #community #entrepreneurship
