"Take pride in how far you've come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don't forget to enjoy the journey." - Michael Josephson
This weekend I played at the @jt_saloon
in Joshua Tree and it was such an amazing experience to say the least. I felt like I was in a totally different world - the wild west. There was picture opportunities galore (thanks in advance @awkwardlyjess
!), desert heat, cool shops, and a western roadhouse which is what I played at.
There was a great stage and engaging crowd, perfect for a country rock singer. This gig made me realize how far I've come. I've still got a long way to go, but I felt like this was another stepping stone on this musicpreneur career journey.
It wasn't always easy. It still isn't. I remember reaching out to places every week and hearing back from no one. Now I hear back from places every week and book new gigs each week. I've been able to do this because I have remained consistent every week and have my venue reachouts as a non-negotiable in my schedule every week.
You can do ANYTHING you set your mind too.
I can't wait to see what this adventure brings...I have a few more exciting opportunities coming up this week that I will share in the next few days. Stay tuned!
Also, if booking gigs is something you have been struggling with - let's chat. I'd love to help you succeed!
