“Although the body is very intelligent, it cannot tell the difference between an actual situation and a thought. It reacts to every thought as if it were a reality. It doesn’t know it is just a thought. To the body, a worrisome, fearful thought means “I am in danger,” and it responds accordingly, even though you may be lying in a warm and comfortable bed at night.” #eckharttolle #eckharttollequotes #anewearth #consciousness #healing #meditation #anxietyhelp #anxietyresources #breathe #heal #books #quotes

One of my life's biggest lessons x
Anxiety is beatable
Looking back or looking forward? . Hey guys, I know I've been a bit MIA but I've missed yas so much! . The last few months have been different to what I think I was expecting and things got a little out of balance in life which has taken me away from being present here with you all. . Some of you might know that I work full time in corporate, I actually love it and this job has been a massive part of keeping me grounded (literally and figuratively) over the last few years. . Having something you love and need to show up for every day when your going through a massive personal shift can be challenging but mostly it was such an escape for me and also a big reason why I chose to stay in Tassie and not run home to my Mum and Dad! . Anyway, around March I joined a project at work that was actually the sale of the Financial Planning business, the area I had worked in for the last 4 years. . I had no idea what the outcome would be for me and my role but I decided to just go with the flow and see where it took me. It was pretty all consuming but a good experience. . Well, when I got back from leave this week it was to an almost empty office as most of my collegues either moved with the business or on to other things and I started a new role. . Over the last 4 months I've barley been in the gym, haven't spent as much time on my business, or been as focused on my health. . However, instead of looking back at all that I'm just looking forward, accepting a season for a season and getting back on track. . Life's not a straight line, thankfully. How boring that would be! . Comment if you're looking forward, not backwards? X
I was talking with a mom yesterday who was sharing how she’s been feeling like so many of us do: failing at work, failing at parenting, failing ourselves, and failing at life. We are overwhelmed yet continuously striving to do more and the bar we measure our success at keeps moving further and further away. Then she asked me, “do you think I’m contributing to my kids anxiety?” As parents we co-regulate our kids. They feed off of our energy. Most parents have the experience of their child losing it and the parent calming themselves which eventually draws the child into their calm. This doesn’t stop at pre-school, I do this when I teach yoga classes to adults too. Our energy and what we are putting out there matters because it impacts everyone around us. What’s different about Conscious Parenting for Families with Anxiety, is that it is not only child focused it’s FAMILY focused. We are all responsible for keeping the ecosystem of the family calm and regulated. You can imagine it like a mobile, if you touch one part everything moves. The tools and strategies you will learn in this 5 week course will transform your family from tension and stress to the calm, loving, family you’ve always wanted where everyone thrives. We start next week. Ready to adopt: https://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/product/sad Sad is such a heavy feeling. It’s form is created from the thick sadness in the air that swirls around us all, but because it is so very heavy, it’s tiny wings won’t lift it up. So although it is a winged being it is, in fact, flightless. Each Sad is unique. Handmade sculpted from clay and individually painted with a variety of textures. Finished off with a tiny pair of textile wings. Sad is a mixed media art doll and can aid you as a talisman to carry your sadness for you when it becomes too much to carry alone. Each one measures around 1” tall. #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters#thefeelings #toyartistry #artdoll #arttherapy #therapydoll #tayloredcuriosities #arttoyculture #original #cute #worryfree #mindfullness #anxietyresources #talisman #designertoy #designertoyart #designertoynation #urbanart #kawaii #designertoyfamily #handmade #toyartuk #totem #sad #ceramicdoll #originalart #originalcharacter
This is how I feel sometimes. Not all the time. Not often. But sometimes. Like things are so overwhelming. I just want to bury my head in my arms. Shut out the world around me. Shut out the chaos that fills my head! And when I feel like this, I often find myself taking in deep breaths. Filling my body with air. Forcing myself to stop. Even if it's just for a few seconds. Letting my brain rest for a slight moment. Breathing in puffs out my chest. Makes me feel stronger. Breathing out creates calm. Offers me time to refocus. Provides me with some clarity. I don't often feel like this. But sometimes I do. And that's ok because I know what I need to do. I need to stop. And breathe. I know I can get through those feelings. I already have. And I will continue to. Because I want to. My anxiety is part of me; but I can't let it control me. Melbourne Street Art - artist unknown but if you know, please let me know x

How to be Social When You Have Anxiety 😬 Whenever we need to deal with a problem, we unconsciously decide to either ignore it or find an alternative option, and this can be a major reoccurring event to a person that suffers with anxiety and is in a situation where they need to socialise 😰 The idea of socialisation can terrify people, and even result in an individual further isolating themselves in order to prevent their worries around the notion of socialisation from escalating, which in the end can make things much worse 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️ I decided to share my tips and tricks to being social when suffering from an anxiety disorder, in the hopes it can help someone else 🤝 You can find the How to be Social When You Have Anxiety blog post through the link in my bio or by searching the post name on demonsinsidemyhead.com.au 💻

I'm on holidays and wow it feels so good! . We're hanging out for 10 days of family time and relaxation too. . Because my family is interstate a lot of my holiday, annual leave, etc is spent visiting them. . So this trip we've planned a bit of both! . We've had an amazing 6 months since we last took some time off and we've been worked incredibly hard. . We're planning to rejuvenate and hit the next 6 months better and bigger than ever! . I left an emotional week at work saying goodbye to collegues and friends I've worked with for over 4 years and the end of a massive project that's been in the works for months. . Looking forward to new experiences and what the future holds for both of us x
