Still not quite sure how I managed to get home ✈️ last week from North Carolina, but I made it! (Quick Recap: 2 flights were delayed/cancelled and I literally thought I was never getting home last week from job training which was horrible in and of itself - overall what I like to call “my week from hell”). 💁🏼♀️
AND I only managed to have one mental breakdown out of the entire ordeal, which I’d say is pretty impressive, too, considering there were so many triggers: 1) being away from home, 2) being constantly surrounded by negativity and rudeness, 3) being treated like a child the entire time, 4) having a flight cancelled at 1:30 in the morning and having to stay overnight in a hotel by myself, etc. So yeah, I’d say I’ve been one BAD*** woman not letting these things break me 😎✌🏼
Now that that’s over with, we’re onto a new challenge: the area that we’re staying at here in Flagstaff, AZ is super close to a major forest fire 🔥 (currently known as the “Museum Fire” if you look it up online) that’s currently burned down 1,000 acres of land. It honestly breaks my heart to imagine all of the animals that are probably out there fending for themselves or trying to find a way out. I seriously wish we could do some kind of Noah’s Ark maneuver and bring them all with us somewhere safe.
“When it rains, it pours” - and in moments like these you literally just have to buckle up and do what you can with what you have. It’s definitely been an anxiety-induced week but at least we’re in this together, that’s better than anything else I could ever ask for ❤️❤️❤️
It truly is the #littlethings
I try and check up on my friends as often as possible, especially if I know they have been #struggling
and I appreciate being checked up on. <3
In Australia, it's estimated that 45 per cent of people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.
With these numbers we should be just as focused on the cause then a cure.
When it comes to dealing with mental health we often turn to the medicine cabinet before the pantry.
But that's about to change.
Serotonin is widely known as one of the “ feel good hormones ”, but did you know that an estimated 90% of the body’s serotonin is made in the digestive tract.

I was sitting in a slump, no 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (something we all claim we lack), and then I got 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 text. 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗣𝗘 ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪᴛ and sᴇᴇ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴋᴇᴇᴘs ᴍᴇ ɢᴏɪɴɢ. 👉🏻
M ᴏ ᴛ ɪ ᴠ ᴀ ᴛ ɪ ᴏ ɴ isn’t always a thing. It’s just not. Sorry, boo. 😂 It definitely gets you started sometimes, but it ᴅᴏᴇsɴ'ᴛ keep you going.
You know what does work?
ᴀ ᴄ ᴄ ᴏ ᴜ ɴ ᴛ ᴀ ʙ ɪ ʟ ɪ ᴛ ʏ . That’s it. That’s why I never dare quit. My fit family shows up with me every morning, on every Miracle Morning Zoom Call. The same amazing, 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 people (just like you), getting up at the ass crack of dawn to workout, work, and better themselves. It’s nothing short of ᴀᴍᴀᴢɪɴɢ.
Every morning, I make a 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲. Do I want to hit snooze and get called out for not showing up, or do I want to sleep in, go back to stressful, shitty mornings?☀️ 🤭
You have time. You really do. 💁🏼♀️ We all do. You have the 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 24 hours in the day as these people, and they’re just as busy.
Get off the high horse, boo thang. 🤣 I say that from love, because seriously. You just have to choose to live from a place of 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 over scarcity. You 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 better than the back burner. You 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 to better yourself, get fit, and take a whopping 20-30 minutes every morning for yourself. It’s not that bad, and it’s nothing crazy. Sʜɪᴛ, I’m not even asking you to commute anywhere! Do it at home. We do. 🤘🏻
Taking down the walls was hard. But doing the workouts? Choosing a healthier life for myself? It wasn’t that hard, and you’re perfectly 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 of doing it, too. I found balance, and you can too. I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t believe it, and I believe in 𝗬𝗢𝗨.
𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 the fear. 𝗚𝗼 for great. Join our tribe, girlfriend. We’re so cool, and you’ll have nothing but joy, fulfillment, and 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 IF you choose to. Our next accountability group launches with our new workout program on Monday. Are you joining us? I’m ready to add you if you’re ready. I’m adding only 10 women who are diving in with me. Drop a comment for details. 💕
Do you have a sweet kiddo who struggles with anxiety? Me too. My Amelia Rose was diagnosed at age 3 with anxiety. She’s struggled her entire life. Last June, I’d had enough and decided to get her started on supplements that also helped me with my own mental health. Plexus has helped my little girl in many ways. But it wasn’t instant. It took 6-9 months before I started seeing major changes.
Here is what Plexus has done for my sweet girl:
1. She isn’t afraid of meeting new people.
2. She sleeps through the night instead of taking hours to fall asleep, feeling scared of the dark and waking up in the middle of the night, crying.
4. She adjusted amazingly well to a new home, city and school.
5. She recovers a lot faster from high anxiety times.
6. She isn’t afraid to do things by herself. Like trading out her toy for ice cream at Chick Fil A.
7. She doesn’t obsess about scary things she may see on TV or in a book (like spiders in a book etc)
8. She tries new foods she’s never had before.
9. She’s overall happier most days.
10. Not all days are perfect, but she has much fewer bad days with more space between them. She also recovers a lot faster and even apologizes when she “doesn’t feel like herself”. 11. We went to Lagoon last year and she was so riddled with anxiety, she didn’t enjoy any of the rides. This year, she loved riding everything and had a blast!

Nurturing New Mothers Part Four:
Did you know that Post Natal Anxiety is actually more common than Post Natal Depression? It affects approx 1 in 5 women, and yet we don't hear too much about it! 🤷♀️
With all of the crazy hormone shifts a new mother goes through during pregnancy, birth and post partum it is common that the important neurotransmitter GABA can be affected. This neurotransmitter is our anti anxiety, calming hormone which can be blocked by the stress hormone cortisol and diminished by nutritional deficiencies, particularly Magnesium which creates GABA's precursor Glutamine ⚡
Ensuring that you increase your Magnesium through green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, wholegrains and a good quality Magnesium supplementation can help in addition to herbal medicines such as Rhodiola, Passionflower and Skullcap 🌿
You can find out more via my latest blog post (link in profile), plus If you are experiencing Post Natal Anxiety feel free to get in touch and we can come up with a custom plan together. Because no mother should suffer alone Xx

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been dealing with anxiety, every single anxiety attack feels like it’s “the one”.
The one that takes you away from your family.
They are all scary. So scary, you have more anxiety about the anxiety attack than you actually have about whatever you were panicking about.
But... you can get rid of your anxiety.
I have had anxiety for 30 years now.
In the worst seasons, it prevents me from leaving my house.
It’s not fair to my family or me.
I’ve tried going to therapists to help me out. I’ve tried CBD. Prayer. Everything.
I started to accept that this was just going to be part of my life forever...
UNTIL I bought this workbook called “Panic Attacks Workbook”.
It’s been the biggest help out of anything I’ve ever tried.
It has taught me about exposure therapy (which I’ve always known about). Not only does it do the best job about explaining it to you, but it also teaches you how to be comfortable during your anxiety attacks.
The answer to getting over anxiety is NOT ignoring it and pretend the attack isn’t happening. It’s actually the opposite.
You should welcome it and remind yourself you’re going through an attack and, just like the hundreds of attacks you’ve had before, this one will end.
It’s been over a month since I have taken a panic attack pill (i used to take them daily) and this will be the year I kick the 💩 out of anxiety for good.
/ / 𝐒 𝐄 𝐋 𝐅 𝐂 𝐀 𝐑 𝐄 / / Today is International Self Care Day, what will you being doing to take care of you?
This year the focus is on:
😀 Self Care is for Life
😀 Get Better with Self Care
😀 Treat yourself to better health
True intimacy is baring your truth, your soul to someone and having them accept you for who you are.
Sex is a component of intimacy (in some kinds of relationships) but it isn’t everything.
You can have sex with someone for fun/pleasure, and still not be completely intimate with them.
I try to foster open and honest relationships with everyone in my life; good things happen as a result.
Mainly an ever increasing sense of safety and freedom to be myself.
✨I got into Eastern Medicine because it made such a HUGE impact in my life.✨
In my early 20's I was in severe car accident (rolling over 10 times off the freeway- pancaking my car) resulting in 2 spine surgeries, mild TBI, chronic migraines, chronic nerve pain, and anxiety/depression related to the pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Western Medicine helped me greatly during the emergency care & surgeries. However I felt like I was lacking in options for me to transform my chronic issues. .
Then I tried acupuncture. I walked into the office hunched over with immense nerve pain down my leg. She asked me many questions, checked my pulse, my tongue, palpated my muscles and gave me acupuncture with moxa treatment. .
I left the office standing up straight and then started to dance down the hall (because my pain was significantly reduced).
Shortly after I started acupuncture school and yoga training. I am so happy I did.
I am a big believer in intergrative medicine (using the best of both worlds🌎). Let's get to the root of the issue and treat the symptoms.
I am offering free 15 phone consultations (schedule a session by clinking on BOOK button)💫
😄Happy to answer any questions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Anyone else tired of running out of calories by 5 PM? 🙋♀️
Counting calories works great to make you lose weight in the beginning. But not forever, because eating too few calories *also* works great to slow your metabolism and make you feel totally preoccupied with food. This is why so many people struggle to maintain weight loss long-term.
If you notice yourself rebelling against your diet lately: it’s not your fault and you’re not the only one.
I want to tell you about a recent client who felt pulled toward weight loss every time she thought about having a family. She wanted to be as healthy as possible but she just couldn’t bring herself to diet again. Why? She’d been there, done that. And what she got? Her weight yo-yoed up and down since she was a teen. She’d repeatedly lose 15 pounds and then the plan would backfire. Then she’d start bingeing and getting overly obsessed with her tracker. It never worked. And she was NOT having that life again.
She said, “I feel like I have it together in every area of my life. Losing weight is like the last thing I need to do.” I challenged her: what if letting go of dieting is the last thing you need to do?
Now that she is no longer eating in order to lose weight, she experiences less worry (like what to do when you run out of calories by 5 PM) and her way of eating is no longer at odds with her relationship to her body. She is now able to listen to her body and she trusts her weight will land where it is meant to be.
I show working women how to let go of food worry so they can focus on their big dreams: building careers and starting their families. Apply to work with me! ✨Link in bio.✨
I’m curious about you. What’s been your biggest challenge using dieting approaches like calorie trackers over the years? Let’s talk about it 👇🏼
