Kids are in bed, well all but the usual one which is clung onto me for dear life like normal. Time for a cup of tea, candles on and to start a new book.
I miss you.
Last night, when we went to bed, I layed down, but couldn't fall asleep right away.
So, I listened to the ceiling fan, and starred at the ceiling until I could make out the image of the fan in the darkness. (We have windows so it doesn't get 100% pitch black - this video was taken during the daytime.) Then, tears slowly began to fill my eyes.... When I was younger and had the chance to sleepover at my Mawmaw's house, we were usually able to sleep in the bed with her. Whether it was just me, or 5 of us in the bed, we loved it!Many of those nights, when I would lay there trying to be quiet and still (so I didnt get in trouble), I would stare up at the ceiling until I could make out the image of the fan in the darkness, and simply fall asleep watching and listening to the soft noise of the ceiling fan.
It's amazing how something so simple can bring back a flood of memories. 💕
