πŸ¦΅πŸΌβ€œLight” Squat session 🦡🏼 Yoke bar squats 10x135lbs 10x185lbs 8x225lbs 8x275lbs 6x315lbs-(filmed) 🦡🏼 This was my first time using the yoke bar but honestly it felt more natural than a straight bar squat and was happy with the amount of weight I was able to work up to. This was my first time going for more than 5 reps for 315lbs without a belt or any equipment and I got 6 slow reps. ⬇️READ THE CAPTION⬇️. . πŸ”₯ MUSCLE LOSS VS FAT LOSS πŸ”₯ Doing a few things right can make all the difference in losing fat instead of muscle. - When you try to lose fat, make sure your start in a SMALL caloric deficit. Going too deep too early will be unsustainable and will result in muscle loss since the muscles aren't being fed enough. - Also, there's no reason to overdo cardio. You can incorporate it to further your deficit, but don't force it. - You also need to train heavy. Don't only train lightweight for high reps! training heavy helps maintain muscle mass when in a deficit. - Lastly, train 3-5x/week. Once a week isn't gonna cut it. Trying to stay motivated with working out regularly is so hard... A LITTLE TIP: β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- I used to do this thing when I was Diving to help stay motivated- (I also put a couple friends onto it and they still do it to this day)- I found 3 things that inspired me. 1 visual, 1 mental and 1 audible. My visual was always a video of the 1992 Olympic final of the men’s 3m diving comp. I would watch that a ALWAY be left feeling like I wanted to train as hard as I possibly could! Mental...By mental I mean a line of thought... something in your life you think about and it puts you in a good space. Mine would always be thinking about my sisters and how well they’re doing in there lives. That would take me out of a frustrated head space when training and just completely change the vibe in a training session. And my audible would always be a song that gets me pumped.... this used to change but for a long time is was Eye Of The Tiger (as bait as that is πŸ˜‚). I would use whichever one of these at any given time to help me keep focus.
