don’t really know what I was doing with my hand 💁🏼♀️
“I’m having a hard time with my body getting bigger. ✨
This quote is said to me by most of my clients on their intuitive eating journey.
If this is you - I feel you. I’ve been there.
I assure you this is not the underlying feeling. This is the surface feeling.✨
Ask yourself: What is so bad about having a bigger body? ✨
I promise you - I have an argument for every angle.✨
I know for me - while I said my reasons for weight loss were for health, it wasn’t till my therapist asked me to define health.
For those that don’t know the story I told her, “ I want to eat vegetables and exercise” and she said, “oh, so then you’re already healthy”.
And I said, “no, I also need to be smaller”.
And she asked me, “why?”.
I was adamant I was right because that’s what I had always believed and had been taught. Because I believed health couldn’t exist in a fat body. And once I made peace with my health, I had to reconcile why I didn’t want to be fat.
“Because I don’t feel sexy.”
“Because people will make assumptions about me.”
“Because no one will want me.”
“Because I don’t fit well in spaces”.
“Because it feels like I failed.”
Once I was able to process out these fears, I was able to be kinder to my body. ✨
I stopped cringing at my stretch marks, calling the part of my stomach that hangs over a feed bag and my arms chicken wings. I stopped resenting my double chin.
I made intentions to find things I loved about myself - not just my body.
I started making lists of reasons why people loved me and each time realized that no one loved me in-spite of my body. They just loved me.
I have brown hair, brown eyes, freckles and I’m fat. And none of that changes a damn thing. ✨
So I tell my clients:
there are far worse things then being fat, than having to hold your breath while you tie your shoes, than stretch marks and loose skin.
You have to daily choose to see the good. 💫
is being predatory - targeting children, wanting to set them up as lifelong, dedicated customers. Similar to the tobacco industry.
Think of an 8 year old you care about or imagine yourself at 8. What do you need to hear? What do you wish someone had told you back then?
Was it that some foods are in the yellow category and you need to proceed with caution? That some are red and you need to stop and really think about whether you should eat that? That the most important thing about you is your body and a number on a scale? You need to track every bite of food you have because your body is your worth? You are a child (and a human) and you’re growing, but don’t grow too much or else...
•WW is sick.
•Our culture is disordered.
•You are not broken.
•You are enough.
•There are sustainable ways to incorporate health promoting behaviors that don’t focus on weight.
•Unless WW has a solution to poverty, systemic oppression, discrimination, access to respectful health care, affordable food/shelter/childcare, and other factors that contribute to overall health, then they’re just another corporation trying to make a buck.
No thank you. Keep your hands off our kids.

When we restrict food, other parts of our lives get restricted too. As we make peace with food our lives tend to expand in ways we didn’t even imagine.
That said, I can’t guarantee everyone’s life will be easy. Our culture is fatphobic - as seen this week where the bodies of children as young as 8 have been the topic of discussion. Adults wanting these children’s bodies erased “for their health”. But unless they’re also fighting to demolish systemic oppression and acknowledging how “obesity” has many complex factors far beyond “they just need education”... they’re just fatphobic. We wouldn’t be so afraid of our body changing if weight stigma wasn’t so pervasive.
So could your life get bigger? Yes. You deserve to live a life without fixating on food and your body. I believe we have the ability to find our people who will love us for who we are, not what we look like - even if it’s virtually. But I can’t guarantee every BODY will be treated with kindness, acceptance, and respect - the purpose behind the Body Positivity movement.
Yesterday at my grocery demo, a little girl came up to try some granola butter. She LOVED IT. (And I knew she wasn’t BS-ing me... kids are always 100% honest 😂)
Then she asked to see the back of the jar. Her face fell as she looked at the nutrition facts. “It’s too many calories. I’m already too fat as it is 😔”
My heart shattered for this sweet girl. 💔 Because in that moment, I saw myself — and so many other women — who have felt “less than” because of the body they were in.
I fiercely told her “you are SO beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” She kinda backed away like *stranger danger* 😂🆘 but it struck such a cord with me.
We NEED to change the narrative. If you’ve ever felt inadequate due to your body size, I’m here to tell you that you ARE enough. You’re worth so much more than this bag of skin. ♥️♥️♥️

Monday morning has got me dreaming about this lil trip we were on last week. 💔
Motivational tip of the day: get your shit together. Seriously 🤣 and smile more!
I put on this dress and honestly I wasn’t going to shoot it because it really shows my curves, but let’s just say Brady’s vote of approval upped my confidence. 💁🏼♀️
I feel like I have spent most of my life figuring out how to hide my curvier figure. Place a belt here, cover up there, spanx under there. I know I am not alone. I know small gals trying to look curvier. I know curvier gals trying to look smaller.
So F it. This is me! Curves and all. I’m not lazy. I work out A LOT! I really like food, but I do try. I am over 40 and you know what some of us get curvier with age. I have wrinkles. I have a tummy. You won’t be seeing me in a bikini on here anytime soon. I had my time for that and now I am much happier in a one piece.
So let’s all try not to body shame ourselves today!!! What is one thing you love about your body????💕
Mine are my eyes, my calves, and honestly my smile which I need to show on here more often.
Baby steps to loving the skin you’re in. Love to all you beauties💕

💚 HAPPY MONDAY 💚
Today I smashed a 45 minute leg session at the gym, I would have carried on but my legs were so shaky! Getting shaky muscles can be caused by a few things;
Low Blood Sugar
And those are just a few! If you feel shaky during a workout it’s best to stop, it’s your body’s way of saying ‘hold on a second I need a break’. Don’t keep pushing through if you are really feeling it as you may cause yourself harm. Instead, eat some food and drink lots of water! NEVER ignore when your body is telling you something! 💓 #mondaymotivation
