This allows you to self massage over pants, a shirt, or a towel. . For me, anytime I am going to squat, I need to work on my calves. My squats feel better as it allows me to access a tiny bit more ankle dorsiflexion. Each degree of dorsiflexion is precious when you have long femurs and retroverted hips. . Landmine Squat/Press with Viking attachment. This is a superior/safer alternative to performing db or barbell thrusters. It's rare that I will have anyone press directly overhead being that so many things have to go right for it to be performed correctly. Not to mention the majority of the population has shoulder/hip disfunctions. The squat portion of the exercise forces the lifter to sit back into a good squat position. Essentially makeing this into a superior hip donimate squat variation. Stick with landmine variations, modified overhead carries ECT. in your workouts in place of direct overhead lifting especially if you have cranky shoulders.
