The Bright Side
Eeyore’s misplaced tail invites two perspectives. Eeyore is convinced someone stole it from him, while Winnie the Pooh keeps an open mind. It’s harder to be like Pooh, but perhaps the world would be a happier place if we all could. 📦🥃
This drink evolved from a few other classics, Eeyore’s Requiem and Bitter Giuseppe, into an uplifting version that shines on its own. The garnish is rather special as well, made to compliment the drink perfectly, with a homemade Cynar fruit roll up and candied lemon peel. It’s entirely edible, and incredibly delicious. It’s my entry for this month’s @homebarawards
The Donkey’s Tail
1 ½ oz Cynar
½ oz Campari
½ oz gin
¾ oz sweet vermouth
¼ oz fresh lemon
2 dashes lemon bitters
Stir over ice and strain into a favorite glass. Garnish with a lemon peel, unless you are feeling ridiculously creative. Try not to be bitter, when the glass is empty.
