HR, do not be lulled in to a false sense of security if you’ve dealt with the worst of the “bad actors.” Ousting high-profile bad actors like Les Moonves is yes, very important. But that is just the beginning. Company cultures that allow men like Les Moonves to operate with impunity for years are toxic by very definition. This toxicity will infect every major decision made in the workplace - business investments, products, hiring, promotions, and firing. Investigations must be fully comprehensive and look at hard truths. Think your company is doing okay? It very likely isn’t.
