a workplace culture where dissent is allowed, or even encouraged can spur innovation, diversity of thought and better decision-making.
When a HR Professional understand the reasons behind workplace conflicts, it helps them to tackle problems before or after a conflict turns into a face-off between colleagues or departments that refuse to work together.
A good place to start is by realizing that, even though people may shy away from it, conflict is actually normal and healthy.
We strongly believe it’s a vital ingredient to organizational success and even experts have found that the most effective teams are those in which members feel safe enough to disagree with one another.

Confronting your boss about a subtle but triggering comment is not an inconvenience
Asking a friend to tweak plans to make your life a little easier is not an inconvenience .
Your needs are NOT an inconvenience
Yet, so many of us feel guilty just by thinking about asking for something
But if you aren’t fighting your corner, who will ????
Here are 4 basic components to asking for what you need:
1) Stating the facts without attaching any personal judgement
2) Stating the emotions that you’re feeling
3) Expressing what you need in the situation
4) Making a request to the person
The process is SO simple, yet can be extremely difficult if you’re not used to one of the parts, like sharing your feelings for example.
The process is based on the book “Nonviolent Communication” by Marshall Rosenberg—he tried and tested this in everything from gang mediation to couples therapy. I use it daily in many situations. .

by treason, by paying agents to open the place, poison or spy on him or by negotiation to obtain the surrender of the place,
or by avoiding enemy fortifications in order to mount an assault:
by breaching the defenses (by mines or saps, by ram, by jet artillery),
through the windows and over the defenses and directly controlling the heart of the fortress (by echelon or more recently by the airs
