An unplanned stay in Idaho Falls.
This morning, I went to start my car to head to Salt Lake City, and it failed to start. Standing in 5 degree weather and no more motel key, I sought help. After knocking on some doors to no avail, I called an automative shop for a jump start as I assumed the cold had caused the issue. The car still failed to start with a booster battery. We then tried to replace the battery in my wireless key fob, but still it didn't want to start.
Finally, we towed my car over 100 miles to the nearest dealership. They are already busy and still have to investigate the mystery issue so they recommended that I book a hotel for the night.
I was feeling some frustration so I want to share the process I am going through to transmute my negative emotions.
1. I acknowledge that I am feeling frustrated and sad that my day didn't go as planned and that I am out a few hundred dollars.
2. I am grateful that I am experiencing these emotions because they are providing me with information about myself.
3. I analyze why I am upset. I discovered that I have a belief that life should go the way I planned. Also, I believe that large monetary expenses shouldn't be a surprise and shouldn't be mandatory. However, life contradicts all 3 of these beliefs so I should modify my beliefs if I want to be more accurate to reality and happier. I am upset because I hold false beliefs.
4. The final step is integration. I am still going through this process because it takes time to change ones beliefs. The new beliefs I am trying to integrate are
a. Life does not goes as planned, but I am capable of adapting to changes.
b. Sometimes I have to spend a large amount of money unexpectedly, but I can save money to be able to handle these situations. I can always make more money.
As I continue to integrate, I start feeling happier again. I've also found the brighter light you shine, the more darkness comes to you to be seen. I thank the darkness for helping me grow.
P.S. I think I'm starting to adapt to the cold as 30 degrees feels normal now. 😄

This quote sounds good, but who and what is a person of consciousness? 💫Maybe we could say you would know it if you are... but is it that easy? It’s not as simple as shopping organic and trying to be a nice person. 💫Commitment to staying true to who we really are rather then being driven by the subconscious patterns that do not actually belong to us in the present time is consciousness. 💫You know when you are reacting to something in a really intense way and you would rather be more relaxed about it, but you can’t get out of your own way? That’s a subconscious pattern dominating you. There is a way to get in control and not get hijacked. 💫It’s easier when we have practices that help us gain energy vs. drain energy.
