Trinity Matt Wagner
Three issues for three absolute pillars of American iconography. This was an enjoyable miniseries that tells a pretty digestible story about the trinity and dark trinity counterpart consisting of Ra’s al Ghul, Bizzaro and Artemis.
Pretty much Ra’s is hellbent on the destruction of the civilized world, go figure, and he recruits Bizzaro out of some Captain America levels of frozen ice to be his personal guard dog and heavy hitter and Artemis to train his legion of red shirts. On top of that Ra’s has acquired nuclear weapons, don’t know how any government can be so damn reckless with weapons that big, but with everything going on in Saudi right now and Iran somehow having a fleet of UAV drones it seems that government irresponsibility with such dangerous things isn’t comic book nonsense but instead just a harsh reality, but luckily at least in this work of fiction we have the three most dedicated heroes who assemble to thwart the evil doers and clean up the mess that others made.
It’s a pretty linear ride, nothing overtly special but at the same time there is nothing that I didn’t like about it, it contrasts the trinity well with each other and every issues puts a focus on a member and it gives us a good rounded look at the corner stones of the DCU.
Verdict: An homage and reinvention of a golden age of heroes and where their journey together began.
Good Morning and shout-out to all the people that can still see my posts and also to those that like, comment, and share. I'm trying my hardest to keep this page going, but the more I keep getting screwed over by Instagram, the less I WANT to post anything on here. It's almost like I'm slowly getting kicked to the curb without actually losing my entire page (like some have in the past, but that's another subject entirely) I REALLY love posting for you guys and gals and hopefully, in the near future, things will change for the better and great pages like myself won't continue to be affected by this "popularity contest"
