Freckles not only make you uniquely beautiful, but they are actually a trademark for unconventional beauty.⠀
What are freckles? ⠀
Genetics can play a leading role in who is more likely to develop freckles based on which type of melanin their body produces.⠀
The body can produce two types of melanin called pheomelanin and eumelanin. Eumelanin protects the skin from UV rays, but pheomelanin does not.⠀
The type of melanin the body produces depends on a gene called MC1R.⠀
People with dark hair, eyes, and skin usually produce mostly eumelanin and are less likely to develop freckles.⠀
People with red, blonde, or light brown hair and who have light-colored skin and eyes usually produce mainly pheomelanin and are more likely to develop freckles.
I have never been a label reader and basically always had the “we’re all gonna die someday, everything causes cancer” mentality.
Until, it happened to us.
When my dad was diagnosed with cancer my view of the entire world changed and I started getting smarter.
I started realizing how toxic the products I was using on myself and my babies were. And just how easy it was to make the switch to something safer.
Safe products are out there. We don’t have to settle for the junk on the shelves. We don’t even have to be experts on reading the labels.
We have to find companies we TRUST.
We don’t have to be rich to afford good products, and we don’t have to use products just because “that’s what we always used and we turned out fine”
Did we really turn out fine? Why are we settling with being unhealthy, using products that disrupt our hormones, our fertility, our development, our mental and physical health? Why are we settling on cancer? Why are we settling for JUNK?
We’re committed to helping you dump the junk. Use healthier products.
We can’t always control the effects our environment has on our lives, but we can help make it better. We can help make your life easier by being honest and using ingredients that help you instead of harm you. We can help you mark one thing off your list of worries.
Today ONLY, we are running a campaign to help you rid your cupboards and get an amazing natural product for just a couple of bucks. I hope you take a peak at the ingredients in the products you’re using and decide to switch to safer! Contrary to popular belief, not all facial oils make your skin greasy or oily!
In fact, people with oily skin often benefit from Flora because it contains oils like Jojoba which actually mimics your skin’s natural oils and by using it, it can signal to your skin that it no longer needs to produce excess oil!
Not only that, but oils can penetrate into your pores faster than lotions or creams which means a little goes a long way and absorbs quickly to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth without looking greasy! 💛

Most people make a mistake knowing whether their skin is dehydrated or dry!
They’re two different things, sometimes our skin isn’t dry but simply dehydrated.
. ✨What’s the meaning of dehydration?
Under special circumstances, the skin lipids may lose their sealing force. These special circumstances may be caused by damaging external factors like the weather or detergents.
When that happens, the skin simply becomes hydrated with the proper care and hydration, your skin will glow and feel comfortable again.
. ✨In the case of dry skin, the epidermis may lose the ability to protect itself.
But, both conditions feel the same. The only difference is that dry skin feels dry all over the body, not just in isolated places. It is also harder to heal dry skin than it is to hydrate it.
Test your skin and see if it is dehydrated or detached;
1. Take a piece of thin paper or a napkin and cross it over the middle of your face.
2. Do so at the end of the day, before washing off
3. Notice if there’s any oil on the napkin or if it’s wet, if you don’t get anything on the napkin, then chances are your skin is dry.
