HOW YOU SHOULD BE WEIGHT TRAINING TO ACHIEVE SOLID MUSCLE DEFINITION . ✔️ Leave your ego at the door - in order for your muscles to grow and develop the most effective way you have to work on your form and exicution. Even if that means knocking a few plates off in order to achieve this then so be it. Become strong at perfect technique rather than a couple of shit cheat reps . ✔️ Target the muscle you want to work - with perfect form you should know exactly what muscle you want to be working. Going in and just lifting the weight from a to b will only take you so far. In order to get maximum results you should learn to eliminate other muscles that maybe working and stop momentum taking you through. . ✔️ Rest when the set is done - through the working set your main targetted muscle should take 100% of the stress. That means no resting at the end of each rep. So no locking your arms out and holding it there for a second. . ✔️ Control the tempo - in this set I am slowly lowering the weight to ensure my muscle is controlling it. I can achieve this greater by imagining I am trying to get my elbows to touch. At the bottem I am pausing - what this is doing is allowing me to re-engage the muscle, ensuring it is working and also stops any chance of momentum helping you cheat the rep. To finish explode to the top without losing tension 💪 . ✔️ Take the muscle through the full range of motion - you are most likely only targeting 80% of your muscle. What you need to learn is to work the full range. Pushing your muscle to its end extremities will ensure you are giving them the best chance of full muscle definition. Bad example here with a barbell as you will not reach them limits. It would be better done with dumbells as you can go past your chest line. . ✔️ Have a strong mind muscle connection - always think of the muscle that's working. It is easy to just beast reps out and lose focus. The better focus you have the greater muscular contraction. . ✔️ Don't be a pussy - giving up before your muscles fatigue isn't going to get you the best results. Neither is lifting a weight that isn't challenging (always ensuring good form). Finding a weight that challenges your muscle.
