🌷🌷Throwback Thursday 🌷🌷
I’m still not used to this but here we are, same human, but her appearance and how she feels now it’s different in every way. ————
She’s stronger, she’s happy, she’s building her confidence back, she’s not hiding from the world, she’s not crying almost every night, she feels alive, she loves life again, she knows her value, she takes care of her, she’s not giving up on her anymore. 🖤
It’s never too late, you are never too old, those are excuses for not being brave enough to fight for want we want in life. Fitness has save it from myself and the impact on my life, on my mood, on my mental health is crazy. We are expecting that a hero come to save us, but it’s not like that, we are our hero’s and we are the only ones who can do something for us. Don’t give up on yourself. 💖

Don’t beat yourself up for being happy. If you want a piece of cake, eat it. If you want to skip the gym and stay home and play fortnite, that’s okay, just go harder tomorrow. If you want to try the new sushi, go for it. DO YOU. Be happy. Literally. This is something I struggle with. I tend to beat myself up. If I “cheat” it’s like the world is over. If I skip the gym one day, it’s insane. It’s something I’ve been consciously working on. It’s okay. I’ve been better at not limiting myself too much and just doing what makes me happy. I have to remind myself that this is a life journey, not a limited time thing.
One of my good friends once told me, if you eat a salad one day but eat like crap everyday, you’re not going to lose weight. Same thing with eating bad. If you have a cheat meal but you’re normally good, you’ll be fine you’re not going to put on all the weight you lost.
Be happy and do what at the end of the day makes you the happiest. Remember, you can and you will reach your goals. Stay consistent. Don’t beat yourself up. Life happens. Keep going and keep your head held up high. We’re human. Mistakes are bound to be made. Stay consistent and make sure you’re loving the process.
Sorry for the long tip but maybe someone needed it as much as I did. 🙃
Preparation is everything.
If you're not prepared, then the result you were looking for usually never comes to pass.
Preparation = Results. Simple as that.
That's why when I finally decided to join a "supplement company", I joined one that did much more than selling supplements. They solve problems.
Most companies will sell you shit you dont need, not this one.
Most will force you to sell a certain amount of supps a month, not this one.
Most will have some gimmick or some SALE year round because their products aren't worth much, not this one.
Most have no charity events nor desire to help others, not this one.
Most don't make their supplements in an FDA complaint facility, not this one.
I'm proud to be a part of 1st Phorm and what they stand for. Looking forward to continuing to work with them and the future.
we are all about adding to and enhancing your health and wellbeing, not taking things away. Even on our 12 week kickstart no food is off-limits, as we don't believe in denying yourself anything - everything in moderation. After all life's too short and a girl's gotta have some fun!
I coach my clients so that they learn how to create positive nutritional habits and make exercise a part of their routine, and most importantly work with them to create a programme that works for them - theres no one size fits all and if you start restricting your favourite foods then you're setting yourself up for a fail.
Ways in which we can 'add' to our health rather than take away include: ▪️adding more water into our diet for increased hydration
▪️adding an extra hours sleep for rest and recovery ▪️adding more protein into our diet rather than limiting certain foods ▪️adding more fruit and veg into our diet to make it colourful and varied ▪️adding a couple of exercise classes into our busy routine to make us feel strong and allow ourselves some 'me-time'
If we start looking at these things as something that we are doing to add to our health, rather than simply 'diet rules' then our whole mindset changes and all of a sudden the new habits we create are because we want to create them - that's when sustainable results will follow.
Get in touch if you'd like more info on our 12 week kickstart - the next batch of transformations starts this summer so get involved if you're ready to be the best version of yourself!

A co-worker informed me that she was suffering from a pretty bad sciatica pain. I was curious and asked what she had done to help with the issue. She told me she had received a massage, but, emphatically she said the massage made the symptoms worse. Far too often do I hear about these experiences with soft tissue manipulation. Why does this occur?⠀
Deep tissue massage, vibrating massage guns, lacrosse balls, grid foam rollers, and deep static stretching are promoted as go to's when addressing tightness and pain. However, shouldn't we be asking ourselves, are these methods designed to address the underlying causes for the problem or do they just mask the symptoms? The Central Nervous System is not only complex but, profoundly sensitive to stimuli that it comes in contact with. The brain can view these techniques to correct pain and tightness as a threat rather than an aid.⠀
* Protective muscle guarding is the brain's ability to shorten or tighten specific muscles surrounding a joint when dysfunction is present. The brain can tighten muscles in order to create stability surrounding a joint when instability is present while over time, joint dysfunction occurs. The results is blocked or closed movement pathways. Movement originates from internal sensory communication between the brain and joints which signals are invisible to the human eye. When sensory signaling is blocked or closed off, the length-tension relationships between muscles are altered and joint centration or space within the joints are reduced. ⠀
* Compensation is the process when the brain changes movement patterns to avoid further damage or injury in specific areas of the body. Compensatory movement is suboptimal and although necessary for survival, can get out of hand if not addressed correctly. If the incorrect approach is taken to resolve the issue, symptoms can and often return with a vengeance. ⠀
Leg days are my favorite days. Here is yesterday's workout. The back squats I did not go heavy wanted to focus on more controlled high reps.
💦 Back Squats
💦 Single leg press
💦 Leg extensions
💦 Sandbag front squat
💦 Stair Stepper
Oh here we go, another gym selfie - stop the gram, let the eyes and memes roll 😂 **swipe to see the #GlowUp
** Giving myself the biggest ‘I told you so’ talk today because I’ve been so hard on myself these past few weeks in every area of my life and then Facebook gave me a timely reminder of my graduation 5 years ago when I was at my chub chub phase, no job (apart from a minimum wage kennel job knee deep in poo 💩🐶) and no clue of where life was going. The phase where I thought walking home from a student night out warranted a side of cheesy chips with the 16 inch chicken and sweet corn pizza (true story 🍕). Turns out it IS true what they say - you should look back and see how far you’ve come. And I’m not even talking about the 5 year dewhaling, I’m talking about the confident, successful (yes you’re allowed to call yourself that ladies) and happy person I’ve become. I won’t be remembered for what I use to look like, I’ll be remembered for the impact I had on those around me (and as that girl that’s always harping on about doughnuts, handbags, house plants and sausage dogs). So yay for 5 years of finding myself, getting stronger both mentally and physically and most importantly growing with the best boyfriend, family and friends a doughnut consuming, Beyoncé aspiring, sausage dog demanding, mother of house plant, handbag obsessing girl could ask for. Now sorry for the over share, go back to your feeds of selfies, food and fashion 😜 p.s. I also strongly believe blondes do have more fun 😉 #throwback #throwbackthursday #gymselfie #mirrorselfie #wiw #gymshark #gymsharkwomen #strongwomen #strongfirst #strongfit #stronger #healthyjourney #healthylifestyle #fitnessjourney #fitnessfun #fitnesstransformation #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #hygge #hyggelife #hyggehome #blondehairstyles #motivational #vscogirl #fromwhereistand #thatsdarlingmovement
