A week ago I woke up to some amazing news. I was accepted by @underarmour to do my industrial placement year with them in Manchester 🎉🎊 - The role is Channel Account Marketing and I am so excited to be working for one of the biggest sports brands in the world 🌏 - Apart from the brand and role being very suited to me and my experience, what makes this really special for me is the work I know I put in to get it. - Throughout my second year at University, I spent a lot of time perfecting my CV, writing numerous cover letters and doing multiple online applications for different placement opportunities. - This was in part why I found second year difficult - instead of giving my full attention to coursework and exams, I had to constantly keep an eye out for opportunities to apply to. - Admittedly, I did start this process slightly late and every application felt more and more difficult. I kept getting rejected and didn’t really know why. After 2 months I had made 10 application, having some success getting into the later stages but still no placement. - I persevered and kept trying, balancing uni work, social life, gym and everything else at the same time. Ofc my main priority were my grades, however getting a placement was becoming more of a priority as summer was approaching and all my mates already secured one. - After more applications, I still had no job. It got to exam season and I had everyone around me telling me to focus on exams and forget about doing more applications. - For me, I had made this more of a priority because I couldn’t imagine doing my third year without having this break in between. I knew that if I did (and decided not to do a placement) I simply wouldn’t do well in my final year - I really needed a break from uni 😪 - I kept applying and once exams were over I still had no answers. I travelled a lot, spent a lot of money going to different assessment centres but for some reason my performance wasn’t good enough. - Looking back, I know that this was because I wasn’t truly passionate about where I was applying, I just wanted a placement. Then the Under Armour opportunity came along so I immdetialy applied. - ⬇️ KEEP READING BELOW ⬇️

🔥🔹 Bicep curl technique. 🔹👇 - If you want to get the most out of the work you do in the gym you need lock in on the basics. - Today, I’m going to walk you through two of the most common mistakes made in bicep curls that could be stalling your progress. - 🔹 Clip 1: Here’s a rule for all lifting (outside of intentional partials): partial range of motion = partial results. Don’t let your ego get in the way of results, I promise you no one gives a fuck how much you can curl. Grab the right weight, do the full rep. - 🔹 Clip 2: Now a little bit of body movement in curls is perfectly ok. But your biceps should do the lifting, not your back. Pull day today. Probably becoming my favorite day. I know some people have some issues with the whole mind muscle connection or the feeling it. Never had too much problem with it myself. I just tend to put a whole lot of volume into it and never fear drop sets in rows and pulldowns. I've also enjoyed throwing rack pulls in the beginning to pre exhaust lately. Pull / back day just offer some many different angles and exercises to keep it fresh as well.
