Your body temperature bottoms out right before bed, and will rise naturally as you get closer to waking. By keeping your bedroom cooler, you’re reinforcing your body’s natural instinct to sleep. If the room is too hot, it could potentially block that signal and cause it to take longer for you to fall asleep❗️💪🏼✨_____________________________#goodnightsleep #healthhack #healthylifestyletips #healthytips #fitnessmotivation
WHO ELSE IS LIVING FOR HERBAL TEA AND WOOD FIRES RIGHT NOW?
Especially when drinking a glass of cold water seems like torture. A good tip is to add some mugfuls of herbal tea to your day. Nice and warm and nice and wet and treating them just as a glass of water during your day.
You could even infuse a thermos with a tea bag and keep the love going for hours.
Here I have a blend called ‘Sweet dreams’ from @higher_living_australia
which is delicious and trying to keep me calm during the winter school holidays. I also live for the ‘Raspberry and Strawberry’ hot or cold brew tea bags from @redsealau
and yes both can be found at Coles.
I enjoy spending some time looking through the tea aisle. The little things in life right?
Let me know what your favourite herbal tea blend is and what your favourite water intake in winter hack is.

Our body is always sending us messages.
Recently mine was saying: "I'm bloated, send help!"
There's lots of things you can do to decrease bloating. Here's my newest obsession...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌟ICED FENNEL TEA🌟
This refreshing drink has the power to do wonders for your digestion.
Fennel is magic for your digestion. Fennel seeds contain compounds that relax digestive tract muscles which then helps reduce gas and relieve bloating.💥
I’m drinking it ICED ❄️ after lunch & dinner. But you can also drink it hot.🔥
How to make ICED FENNEL TEA:
Add 1 tea bag* to a 16-ounce glass, pour in 8 ounces of almost boiling water, and let steep for 15 minutes. Remove tea bag and add 1 cup of ice. Enjoy! Note: You can also make a big pitcher to keep in the fridge.
*Tea bags are found in the tea section of most grocery stores, but you can make it w/ whole fennel seeds from the spice section. Use 1-2 teaspoons of seeds, crushed lightly on a cutting board with a wine bottle or rolling pin. Put the crushed seeds in a tea diffuser, add hot water, and let steep.
What does FENNEL TEA taste like?
It’s unsweetened, but fennel has a natural “sweet” taste. It tastes a little like black licorice, but don’t let that scare you away! I don’t like black licorice, but I’m loving the flavor of fennel tea.
Drink FENNEL TEA anytime you want to:
✨improve PMS pain
✨freshen your breath

EVENT REPORT.... ☔️ 🌧 @slowsundays_
Stretch + Swim was a bit of a wash out this morning. In fact, we sadly had to cancel it last minute due to heavy rain...
I’d made enough overnight oats with apricot and vanilla compote (swipe right!) to feed a small army though, but the regular dippers at the Kenwood Ladies’ pond joined us for some breakfast and hot tea to help me get through it all! Myself and @_yogawithjamie
thought we’d swim anyway, and @tandshop
was already there by the time we had to pull the plug.
Safe to say I still had such an enriching morning, we talked about womanhood, pregnancy, hormones and love for a happy hour or so before we began to notice our wet clothes and cold toes 😯
Tickets bought for the event today will be redeemable at the next Stretch and Swim...and, big news, we’re buying a gazebo!!
Let’s talk coffee!
Huge topic of debate!
Some pros and cons
Pros - boosts energy, has antioxidants
Cons - can irritate digestive system, can be inflammatory, prevents mineral absorption which affects joints
I’m not a big coffee drinker but when I do, I add some things to help with its cons................... Ginger - digestion
Cardamom - anti inflammatory
Collagen - for healthy joints and supple skin
As everything, moderation is key.
And for some conditions, coffee should be avoided at least for some time. #holisticnutritionist #grubandglow #coffee #cardamomcoffee #healthhack #healthycoffee #collagenpowder #foodislife
I finally feel like myself again. Due to unforeseen circumstances, getting a manicure hasn't been possible in the last couple of months and I went with naked nails. I also had had to cut them fairly short after two of them broke and so I've been growing them out again patiently. Today I was finally able to treat myself to a manicure and now I feel whole again!
It's strange how after decades of never wearing any nail polish, I've now grown so accustomed to always having my nails shaped and polished.
What looks like just a fanciful beauty thing is more than that for me, though. Naturally, my nails grow in a square/straight shape. That means that for decades, I've dealt with them growing into the sides of my fingers and giving me little painful or even infected spots. Since I've started getting manicures and letting them grow longer, that has stopped. The oval shape takes away the issue of the irritated edges, especially when they are long, because then they're just beyond that really tricky "danger zone". For someone who is immunocompromised as I am, not having to deal with these infections anymore is a blessing. It does mean, however, that my manicurist has to be very careful and work in super sanitary conditions, which thankfully she does, as did my much-missed previous manicurist, Helen.
Colours are by @essie
, as always. The blue is Saltwater Happy and the champagne I can't remember but it's from an LE anyway, so not in stock anymore.
