I took a break from insta (🙈sorry!) but I wanted to show you the e design makeover we finished a few weeks ago. .
Here is proof You don’t need a large budget to find great pieces for your home that will create a space you love. .
My friend needed to keep her dark sectional, but wanted a light and cozy vibe.
TAKEAWAYS for your spaces :
1-When your largest real estate in the room (aka couches, chairs) are dark, add contrast with light pillows, blankets, rugs, accessories. Here we switched out her dark ottoman for a tufted linen option. Easy change that makes a huge difference. .
2- Don’t be afraid to mix in different styles. Just bc your couch is traditional does not mean everything else needs to be! In fact it shouldn’t be. Mixing styles adds depth and interest. .
3- Rugs are your best friend. I know, I know, a rug over carpet seems weird to a lot of people. But trust me, it CHANGES a room and this one was under $200 for an 8x10💥 .
4- When using a console in your living area, make sure it is big enough to fill the wall generously. This larger piece of furniture makes all the difference and doesn’t compromise on storage or functionality. It also creates a pretty vocal point in the room with art and accessories, rather than the tv being the main vocal point. .
I hope this was helpful! Let me know below if you guys liked this and want to see more tips/makeovers like this one 👍🏻👎🏻😘 also thanks for still loving me when I fall off the insta train! #hometips #decorideas #loveyourhome
