I can’t even remember where I heard this. I think it was a podcast. But it stuck out to me and I have remembered it! . . If there’s one piece of advice I could give you, it would be this quote above☝️. I used to get so down on myself for missing a workout or eating too many sweets( well, probably more like chips😆). I felt bad about myself and then it was a downward spiral. Consistency does not mean perfection. And when I finally got that in my head is when I really learned to stick with things. I can promise you that being hard on yourself because you had the pie is not going to get you anywhere. . . So, you got totally off track this weekend........ that’s just life! Enjoy it and move on. Tomorrow is a new day. We can’t dwell on yesterday. We need to focus on today. Love the process. Find your why. Do it out of love and not hate!! You are worth taking time to take care of YOU! . . Mindset is Everything whether you want to believe it or not.... If tomorrow is day 1, 31, or day 131 of your fitness journey - the most important part is having the right mindset! . If you are eating healthy and exercising with the only goal to “lose weight” - what happens after you lose the weight? Do you stop your healthy lifestyle? If your only measure of success of your healthy lifestyle is weight loss - it will be much more difficult to stick too & determine success. . What about the short term and long term effects eating healthier and exercising will have on your energy levels, sleep quality, overall feeling each day, and of course quality of life long term. There is so much emphasis our on weight loss that people forget and tend to over look the other amazing benefits that come along with a well rounded healthy lifestyle. Being healthy & fit allows me to be able to get outside and go for a jog in a beautiful city with some good tunes or a podcast in your headphones, have the energy to play with my son, take the ball to the park & shoot some hoops, or just feel more energized and comfortable in my own body in general. . Today my goal for you is to really think about how you feel after you exercise, after you eat a healthy meal, after you eat a “Not so healthy” meal, and how you feel if you don’t move your body. Just remember you only have one body, so take care of it! This doesn’t include crash diets, long exhausting hours in the gym - it just means making healthier choices - less processed foods - more clean foods - and simply adding a little more movement in the day. . We all think about the present - think about how you want to feel 10/20 years from now - the choices you make now will have an impact on that. . A BODY IN MOTION STAYS IN MOTION . Obligatory “my kid lost a tooth” post! He loves wiggly teeth but despises pulling them out. He requested the presence of the entire family as it was pulled. Apparently a team of cheerleaders makes the daunting task of tooth pulling less frightening. The only thing that made him happy while pulling it was knowing the tooth fairy would bring him money and that he was promised an ice cream sandwich afterwards. Oh how I love this goofy boy!!!

Phase 1 RESULTS are in!!!! . 21 freaking days!!!! Working out only 20-30mins a day, all from the comfort of my own home. Didn’t really follow the meal plan, I will be honest right there 🙈. 21 days of consistantly showing up, drinking my superfoods & of course momcrack everyday. Abs with baby P. My core strength still doesn’t feel back to 100% pre-pregnancy and it’s been almost 10 months. I’ve been focusing on regulating intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) and rehab movements, rather than crankin out exercises that could actually be doing more harm than good in the long run. This means I’m staying away from anything that creates “coning” in my abs or any movement where I’m unable to activate the transverse abdominis (TVA). It’s super important to implement proper technique (by regulating IAP) to help prevent and heal the natural abdominal separation that occurs during pregnancy. Improper IAP regulation overtime leads to diastasis recti which can also cause other unwanted symptoms like the baby “pooch”, lower back pain, hernias, or urinary incontinence.
Helllllllooooooo phase 2! This program is no joke! Today was only 20 minutes of cardio followed by 24 minutes of yoga/recovery and I literally had to blow dry the sweat out of my hair 🤷🏼‍♀️ . I finished phase 1 down 3.75 inches and noticing the biggest difference in my waist!
