I love colorful dinners that combine savory and sweet flavor profiles! Here’s an easy and macro friendly recipe for you 😊 24 C | 5 F | 25 P and just 222 calories!
1. Garlic kale 🥬: sauté (for 5-10 min) with a hint of olive oil, garlic (optional amount), garlic salt, pepper, and the juice of 1 lemon 🍋
2. Cinnamon potatoes 🥔 and apples 🍎: dice apples + potatoes, add a hint of cinnamon, a bit of coconut 🥥 oil spray, and sauté for 15 minutes
3. Harissa chicken 🐓: dice chicken, season with salt, pepper, and cumin. Add Trader Joe’s Harissa salsa. Sauté for 8-10 minutes.

for a while and have been watching the whole process as they poured their heart and soul into opening this facility. I was excited to try out the FREE WEEK trial they offer. The space is bright and clean! We did their cardio/HIIT group work out. Umm, it’s intense, so much fun, but intense. I LOVED all the different kinds of exercises that you do throughout the 45 minute workout. They have different stations that you do with a partner that are 45 seconds on and 15 second rest. The TV monitors on the wall demonstrate the moves as you work through them so it’s easy to follow. Every class is different though! It was so different than anything I have tried, totally worth the hype. Our coach, Matt, was the best. He went around and was so encouraging and took the time to show you the right way to do each station. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Ready to K I C K this weeks B O O T Y! 🍑⠀
Today starts day one of the FWTFL 10 day detox and I am so pumped! I feel like a detox is exactly what my body needs and I can’t wait to see how I feel in ten days compared to how I feel today! ⠀
As I was menu planning for the week, I was S H O C K E D at how much processed foods I actually consume each week! I also noticed that by cutting out those processed foods this week, my grocery bill was actually lower! ⠀

Working from home today and breaking my fast in the best way I know how with a big bowl of oatmeal topped with blueberries and a banana 😋⠀
Switched things up a little bit this week and used yesterday as my rest day and today as my strength training day for arms and back. I love that with the FASTer Way, I am able to accommodate my schedule to fit my weekly needs and help make it easier to stay on track! ⠀

Sometimes I can’t stop thinking about Chipotle’s corn 🌽 salsa and carnitas! I have a tasty meal prep recipe for you for all your Chipotle cravings 🤭 22 C| 6 F| 29 P
Add pork loin + salsa verde to an instant pot, cook for 45 min on the “pressure cook” setting
2. Corn salsa:
Mix together 1 can of unsalted sweet corn, 1/2 bunch cilantro, 1 jalapeño, 1/4 onion, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Season with garlic salt!
3. Pico de Gallo:
Mix 3 cherry tomatoes 🍅 with 1/4 onion, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Season with salt.
4. Preheat oven to 350 and bake Joseph’s lavash for ~5 min
5. Build your tostada! I like to add lettuce 🥬 first, followed by carnitas and salsa.
6. Optional: bolthouse farms cilantro dressing + chipotle cholula 😋
Anyone else always running late in the morning? These little egg 🥚 muffins are perfect when you’re on the go!
Recipe per muffin:
1/2 slice Trader Joe’s turkey bacon 🥓
1/2 Trader Joe’s chicken 🐓 breakfast sausage
4 tablespoons egg 🥚 whites
1/2 of one sweet pepper 🌶
Add salt and pepper to each muffin, and bake for 25-30 min on 350 🔥
Each one is just 71 cal 😮

Happy regular macro day!! One of my favorite meals to break my fast is a fried cauliflower rice bowl with lean ground turkey. So delicious and super quick and simple! ⠀
As with most items I cook, I picked up a bag of riced cauliflower stir fry from Trader Joe’s, heated it up in a skillet on my stove and added 3oz of lean ground turkey! I always add just a tiny bit of pink Himalayan salt to finish it off and make it extra delicious! ⠀
Macros: 28g carbs, 9g fat, 29g protein⠀

My husband told me that this was the best meal I have ever made him! I was almost offended since I cook for him every single night... but I had to remind myself that he is a man and men love anything with buffalo sauce 😂 Plus, I happen to agree that this meal was delish!

If your diet is depressing, depriving you, holding you hostage from donuts …. you’re doing it ALL WRONG. Here’s how weight loss works:
Weight loss comes down to calories in versus calories burned (your BMR + exercise calories burned). This means if you are following a paleo list of foods and the calorie are TOO HIGH you won’t lose weight. If you become a vegetarian and are eating extra carbs to replace meat and dairy and the calories are still TOO HIGH, you won’t lose weight.
Google TDEE. These are your maintenance calories. If you track your meals in MFP for a week and find yourself eating at this number, you will maintain weight. Going over= weight gain. To lose weight you may need to start with your TDEE minus 300 calories.
Calorie counting is the best place to start. Not a meal plan, not a food list. Calories matter as much as we hate it when we want to lose weight.

Macro counting can help with body composition change (fat loss), where calorie counting alone cannot guarantee.

I won’t lie, this past month has been crazy

We all have times that this happens - when we’re a little less on top of our game than we’d like to admit
And when this happens we have two options:
We can be upset, disappointed & beat ourselves up for not staying on track as much as we planned on 😑
Or we can appreciate the mental & physical break from our typical stricter routine and use it to motivate us to come back with more passion, effort & fire than before 💪🏼
Sometimes taking a step back is just what we need to give ourselves space & energy to propel forward
So let’s stop thinking about it as a setback
