Red Sauce Chicken Spaghetti : . . . Ingredients : - 1 bowl of boiled whole wheat spaghetti - 500 gms of boiled chicken mince - 1 1/2 tsp of extra virgin olive oil - 1 tbsp of chopped garlic - 1 small chopped onion - 400 gms of tomato puree - 300 gms of pasta sauce (I ised veeba pasta sauce) - 1 cup of boiled vegetables (I used broccoli and bell peppers) - 1 tbsp of red chilli sauce - 2 tbsp of green chilli sauce - 1 tbsp of soy sauce - 1/2 tsp of vinegar - 2 tsp of brown sugar - 1 tbsp of Pink Himalayan salt - 1 tsp of black pepper - 1 tsp of dried oregano - 1 tsp of chilli flakes - 1 small cup of grated mozzarella cheese - Roughly chopperd coriander leaves for garnishing -1/2 cup of water . . Instructions : - Heat oil in a pan. - Add garlic and sauté till it turns a little brown. - Now add chopped onions and again sauté till they turn light brown. - Add the tomato puree and cook on high heat till the rawness goes away. - Go ahead and the red pasta sauce. - Add water and let it cool for 4-5 minutes. - Add chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soy sauce and vinegar. - Mix everything really well. The End of Summer is closing in this year but it's not going out without a fight. Yesterday only I was thinking how hot the day was & how badly I could use a drink. Since I never really visited Commercial Street before and heard a lot about the place, went shopping there yesterday. Realised, you really need to explore and find the best shop to get what you had in mind. The ethic stores in the market however were a treat to eyes with fantastic collections on display. Amidst all those lanes /streets full of shops abuzz with people, one cannot not notice the sellers selling these giant guavas with pink flesh inside. Forget even about the size, the contrasting colours of the inside and outside is alluring enough. Guava as such is a fruit which is high in antioxidants and these red fleshed ones have even higher levels of it. Guavas otherwise have numerous other health benefits as well. This is one of the fruits I love to have without much persuasion.
