I have been watching the news about the fires since I landed in my home country, Italy.
We left Australia for our Christmas holidays at the begging of November and back then, the situation wasn’t really good already. .
In about a month the fires got worst than any human could ever imagine.
Every news all around the word showed picture of the Australian’s bushfires, burned animals, tired firefighters and all of them talked about an apocalypse.
I personally heard so many different theories and I felt so little in this big world.
I guess everyone was praying for Australia and everyone was hoping for the rain to fall from the big blue sky. .
I am not Australian, but I have been living in this beautiful country since 4 years and half and I consider it “my home” now.
We got back to Sydney a couple of days ago and I have never been so happy about the rain before, because yes, it is raining here right now and, considering it has been 4/5 months since last time it really rained here, this is something to celebrate.
A little rest for our firefighters, a little rest for our nature and a good time to take a good breath. .
There is still a lot to do, it will takes months for the situation to completely settle but it is a beginning. .
God bless all the firefighters, Australian and not, god bless them for their hard work, for being our rocks, our heroes and for their fight without rest.
God bless anyone who helped in anyway, because in front of a disaster like that, even a little help could be a giant hand.
God bless the rain, ‘cause everyone was praying for it and it finally fell. 🌏❤️🇦🇺 #australia #sydney #prayforaustralia #rain #instapic #instarain #instasky #instamoment #instadaily #bushfiresaustralia #bushfires #firefighter #heroes #nature #greysky
