I stood on the platform for what seemed like 10 minutes (in reality it was probably only 1 min 😅).
The only thing between me and the river 134m below me, was my own will power and a bunch of rubber bands attached to a harness around my legs.
I had to wait for the wind to die down before I could jump.
As time went on, my legs started to tremble...
Then one of the operators said “maybe you should sit and wait till the wind dies down”.
My heart dropped. I don’t know if I could do that again...
But I had no choice really. There was no WAY I was NOT going to jump.
So when he called me back up, I waited 3 seconds (enough to smile and make sure my cousin was filming it 😅) then jumped off. 💨
It was an exhilarating 7 seconds of free-falling.
Plunging towards the river below, steep canyon walls in my periphery, and that rushing blue water zooming towards me.
No fear in those 7 seconds. Just freedom.
And I guess that’s the feeling I chase.
The feeling I have always chased....
🔻P.S. swipe to see my biggest grin after I returned from my jump!
