Day 20 | August 18th
Today we visited the last national park on our trip list - Badlands National Park. Before we got to the park though, we stopped at Wall Drug Store in Wall, South Dakota and man it was a trip! It was huuuge with a bunch of smaller stores inside it! They had a great breakfast, 5cent coffee, and as always, free ice water! (They advertise it everywhere)
After we left Wall Drug, we went to see the Badlands. At the entrance sign, we saw a bison, and a man from Arizona was nice enough to take our picture, as well as take a picture of himself for us to remember him by! Badlands park itself was very surreal to me, similar to Bryce Canyon. The rocks and colors looked fake, like props in Disneyland! We only took a small hike on the Notch Trail, which was fun because it included a small ladder to add an err of adventure.
We ended the night in the Fort Pierre National Grasslands near a pond, and I got some great photos of a beautiful sunset in South Dakota.
Tomorrow, onto Minnesota and Iowa! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
