Just finished up my last client discovery call for the day so I’m cooking a quick and easy dinner, and doing some recipe testing at the same time. Experimenting with the right mix of flavors to go on these parsnip fries, I’m almost there! Tonight I tossed them in avocado oil and topped them with @redmondrealsalt , fresh pepper, crushed red pepper, and garlic + onion powder. I never put simple recipes like this on the blog but the number one thing that you request is more recipes! Should I start posting more simple recipes like this on the blog?
I out did myself today. Breakfast taken to a new level. My 13yo son’s breakfast comprised of a bed of crispy curly kale, topped with thinly sliced cooked potato and beetroot chips, with kangaroo and coconut oil. For my breakfast on a bed of crispy kale, spinach and brussel sprouts I added cooked thinly sliced swedes and beetroot, cherry tomatoes, kangaroo, coriander, sprouts, powdered egg shells, mustard seeds, a fried egg and a tablespoon of coconut oil. No cereal or porridge for me. 🦋 B O D Y R E S E T 🦋 I’m now into week 3 of my 30 days body reset and I honestly feel so different. I’ve got my energy back, no longer feel sluggish or heavy and my tummy isn’t hurting and making popping noises after eating plus isn’t swollen. I know certain foods don’t agree with me, wheat/gluten being a big one plus dairy does me no favours and just by eliminating (plus other things) them for 15 days I’ve noticed I’m no longer sweating excessively, my psoriasis has calmed right done and my annoying cough has almost gone. It’s all linked, so Im not going to back to eating those things after my 30 days is up, I’m going to be sticking to an 80/20 rule and I’m actually excited about it. I’ve definitely saved money by doing this plan as I only really have to think about my evening meal and snacks and no coffee and cakes out and about! My breakfast & lunch shakes have been a joy to have and taking all my supplements has now become second nature again. I thought I’d miss my sugary, milky coffee but using the fizz sticks, which are a natural energy booster that gets added to water has literally sorted me out when I’ve needed that wake up!! I’ve managed to fit it into family meals really well and if anything I’m just more organised, another bonus. Making simple switches and adapting my favourite meals has been easy and I’ve not been hungry at all, I think I’m eating more to be honest but still I’ve managed to loose 6lbs. 4 in the first week and then 2 in my second week. Now this is a bit of a funky combination, but to be honest I don’t really care what it tastes like. In the main I no longer eat for comfort. I eat to nourish my mind and body and this meal is overloaded with goodness. It started off with an overnight cook up of organic chicken bone broth. Then 1/3 of the stock remained to slow cook organic chicken breasts sourced from @cherrytreeorganics. Then lots of greens from the garden were added of pak choy, beetroot leaves and spinach. Plus a tablespoon of @offalygoodfood ’s Organic Chicken Live Pate and an egg. Inspired by @coachjakecarter ’s post on eating egg shells for calcium, to the mortar and pestle I ground organic egg shells, then yellow mustard seeds and topped it off with @foursigmatic Lion’s Mane. It’s more than edible with so many flavours.
