Took a water taxi over to Meares Island to hike up to the summit of Lone Cone mountain. While the hike is relatively short, it’s got some serious elevation. Think Mailbox Peak but harder, or Aasgard Pass but you’re hiking through dense forest and climbing through and over trees and roots the whole time. Regardless, the views from the top couldn’t have been more epic. You can see Tolfino, tons of islands, oyster farms... and the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see.

#All you have to do is wait. Sit tight and wait for the right moment. Not try to change anything by force, just watch the drift of things. Make an effort to cast a fair eye on everything. If you do that, you just naturally know what to do. But everyone’s always too busy. They’re too talented, their schedules are too full. They’re too interested in themselves to think about what’s fair." #harukimurakami#dancedancedance#lonecone#mearesisland#tofino#canada 🍁
This weekend I went and put the Dadbod to the test and climbed the steepest hike I've ever done, up to 730+m elevation. The hike is called Lone Cone Trail in Tofino BC.
I'm sore, I'm beat up, but I'll be damned if it wasnt worth it. Also sorry if you've missed me over the weekend, it was a solid boys trip!
