I ran across this photo from maybe 5 years ago. I’d found this chihuahua wandering around a Starbux parking lot, looking scared. I took him home and determined that he was very old, deaf, arthritic, mostly blind and often incontinent. I ran ads in the paper and online lost & found, and nobody claimed him. He never really bonded with us, nor us with him. After the ad had been running for a few weeks, we resigned ourselves to being his new humans. He had a certain charm but didn’t get along with our other dogs. Then about a month later, someone contacted us via Craigslist. It turns out that the dog belonged to a very elderly man, and had had a habit of digging under their fence to escape. We delivered the dog to his human (about a mile from where I’d found him, and across a busy 4 lane highway). Human and dog both appeared happy. I learned that the dog’s name was “killer.” That’s my warm and fuzzy dog story for the day. Back to what you were doing.
