You know what some people’s problem is? They can’t get out of their own head. Some use weed, medication, alcohol etc... but we have more control than we realize through self talk. Start telling yourself that you ARE amazing. You ARE fearless. It may seem weird at first but it really fucking works!!! Keep at it for at lest 3 days then it will start to become natural positive self talk. You deserve to be your best!!! Much love 💕
Ok. Excited about the launch of this...next Saturday 6/22 join us at Imperial Barbershop in downtown Durham for a wide-ranging discussion about what’s going on in the culture. We’ll be meeting at 9:30am to 11am. We’ll be doing this once a month!
Feeling beautiful ❤️ and not just because I'm dressed up for a wedding, but because I did a quick 20 minute yoga session in the middle of getting ready.
I have always thought that the sexiest thing is when a person is both confident and humble. Doing yoga helps to both find that self confidence, but in a humbling way.
I often see people confuse humility with undervaluing themselves. Humility isn't thinking or acting like you are less than you are. Humility is recognizing how amazing you are. Humility is recognizing there is no comparison between you and anyone else in the history of the world. Humility is recognizing that no one is better that you, nor are you better than anyone else. Respect yourself. Respect others. Love yourself. Love others. It's that simple.
Thank you too those who took the time to read my thoughts and what's been on my heart.
All day retreat with my Kenya mission team!!! Lots of prayers, sharing, and bonding. We each have a big part to play in this journey we’re on, whether we know it now, or will figure it out later.
But I couldn’t see myself learning these things with any other group of Godly women. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” – Princess Diana
