465 million miles and counting. Yesterday, to celebrate his 25th trip around the sun, @sapphire_fitness and I hit some birthday reps together. 315 for 25 to "Happy Birthday" by @officialalvinnn. Song choice was his, and it's his birthday, so don't hate😜. I typically do the person's bodyweight for 1 tep per year, but Charlie wanted to meet that @mikeohearn standard of 315 so... fine, I'm up to a challenge. Took me a good bit to catch my breath after this but felt good and I probably needed it. *** For birthday Reps, I had to draw the line somewhere and here's what I've decided. Still by request but, unless we have a previous agreement, you'll have to be present for the set on order for me to do your birthday set, you don't have to do it with me, but you gotta at least be there. ***
Test week! Last night was #squats My lifetime PR is 260, hit back in March 2018. Haven’t hit anything even close to that in a long time due to taking a break from lifting. Expected no more than 245 (and I thought that was a stretch) last night, ended up with 257 🤗🤗🤗 Probably could have done more if I hadn’t made such small increases. Me alegra el pr de volumen porque la prep anterior hice un 10x3 con 160 y flat shoes para acostumbrarme. Sabía que en ese momento no tenía la fuerza, pero también sabía que luego la iba a tener. Another morning, another really rough training session. 435 single went ok. Was supposed to do 415x5x3, but I got one set in (with crappy depth), a single of the next, then had to drop down to 385 to finish up the triples. Although I can feely core engaging a little more, my lower back feels really tight and is not pleased at the bottom of the squat.
