So if you’ve been following my journey you’ll know, I’m basically a walking death bed... I’ve got mental health issues ADHD-BIPOLAR-EUPD but, recently I’ve been diagnosed with a rare disease following numerous of hospital visits and that I have a small tumor on the back of my brain too. Since this and before, i suffer my own shit daily, weekly and monthly mentally and physically but, I’ve been blacking out and having dizziness (star gazing just seeing pure black and ringing in my ears), so now I’m on a heart monitor to measure how my heart keeps stopping and starting, and then following my blood pressure. It’s a constant daily battle I live with, scared to shower alone- incase I drop in there (which I already have), shopping trips, basically anything. So, due to my illness my blood pressure drops and remains super low always, anyway, so it’s a never ending game. I must keep this on now for some days and hopefully we can figure out what’s next, and if not, I must try and keep hopeful that we will figure it out eventually #keepfighting #talktococo #heartmonitor #healthiswealth
I’ve been feeling a bit off kilter the past few days. There’s no particular reason as to why, but I wanted to use that feeling though to create something positive to share with others.
Feeling not quite right is something I grew quite used to. Ever since I started medication for anxiety however, my sense of self has massively improved. It’s been quite a while since I’ve felt this though and I feel a bit unsure on what to do about it.
I think 90% of it comes from feeling tired and I probably just need a solid 8 hours sleep and I’ll be back where I’m usually at. As well as that however, I’m going to adopt the above strategies too.
I’ve done my gentle exercise for the day, and I’m about to write about it before I go buy some chocolate.
If you’re feeling a bit off balance I hope this helps and you can use something from it, but also just remember it’s OK to have days like this and that you’re not alone.
➡️➡️When I write music, songs usually start off as poems, fantasy, or experience. So, given the poem I wrote yesterday, “Rhythm in my Crown,” I decided to add some melody to it.
Rhythm in My Crown
My strands are harmonious,
Creating a crescendo of curls.
Fun and free, they skat.
Tangled in timpani, and tabla drums
A fugue with every follicle,
My strands are harmonious.
Roots of reggae and ska,
Dancing towards the light of the sun
And shouting, “AFRICA!” -@husniyahsaeed

Have you guys heard of 'grounding' (also referred to as 'earthing')? 👣
The theory is that taking off your shoes and making direct contact with the earth assists in releasing accumulated free radicals in our bodies by connecting with the earth's negative ions. 🌎
Research is showing this can result in many benefits - one being reduced anxiety or depression!
I started doing it by accident (simply because I like going barefoot in my backyard) and put together one day that I had been feeling more relaxed and less anxious! 🍃 May not be definitive proof, but why not give it a go? Have you done it?
Here is a simple guide to check out the what/why/hows of grounding: https://www.wellandgood.com/good-advice/what-is-grounding-kimberly-snyder/
🧠 You might have your mother’s eyes, but are you aware that you might also re-live your father’s depression? Or embody your mother's anxiety? •
What is intergenerational trauma? Picture this: you are experiencing trauma symptoms but can’t explain why. You may suffer from unexplained anxieties, depressions or obsessive thoughts that seem to make no sense. What if these psychological symptoms are your unconscious inheritance? Research shows that traumas experienced by previous generations can be biologically inherited, especially when that trauma is not resolved/processed within the family. Healing from trauma requires a witness, a discussion, a working though, a validation of one’s pain. When families are unwilling to sit with this pain, it gets transmitted to future generations. In order to process it, you have to connect the issue to the root of the problem (usually a secret), you have to talk about it, you have to sit with the pain that everyone before you tried to avoid, but in doing so you leave it behind.

It's funny how we allow little things to unsettle us and make us further loss our self-worth. .
My grandma died at the age of 82 without a singular grey hair. You can imagine how embarrassing it was to me to grow grey hair at 37.
In a society where we are expected to look 10 years younger than our age, it made me feel people would see me older than my actual age. .
But you know what? I've come to realize that some of the things we see as defects actually make us beautiful in a unique way. .
I am a woman on a mission. No other woman is permitted to suffer inferiority complex and low self-esteem as I did. Follow me if you are struggling with this beast and let me help you overcome.
Self care is actually caring for everyone you love.
