“The clouds were magnificent today and I knew I had to take a detour on the way home from my appointment this morning.
Pre-Op appointment went as well as could be expected. Surgery is a go for July 1st. As per usual, discussing the plan (possible cancer staging if my other ovary appears abnormal, possibility of reoccurrence being discovered in the post-op biopsies, etc) puts me in a bit of a nervous mood but, no matter what happens, I know I’m in good hands.”

At wide receiver #9
is Adam Thielen! Thielen totaled 1403 yards and 9 TDs last year, finishing as the ppr WR #7
Adam Thielen’s 2018 season was truly a story of two halves👩🏼🏫
Weeks 1-8 Thielen had one of the most dominant starts I’ve ever seen🤩
During that 8 game period, he was AVERAGING 25 ppr points per game!!😳
Thielen was averaging 12 targets and 115 yards a game😱
He found the end zone 6 times during that 8 game span🤯
He was the best WR in fantasy for the first half of the season🤪
Thielen came back to earth in weeks 9-17☹️
During the final 8 games of the season, he averaged 12 ppr points, 7 targets, and a measly 56 yards a game🥶
What caused such a dramatic shift?🤨
Last season the Vikings were going through an identity crisis😅
After a disappointing start to the season, the Vikings tried to return to the dominant defense/run first team they were in 2017👴🏼
First 8 weeks of 2018, the Vikings averaged 42 pass attempts per game☄️
Last 8 weeks of 2018, they averaged only 33...☃️
Thielen was also dealing with a nagging ankle injury after their week 14 game against the Seahawks🤧
These reasons caused Thielen’s fall from dominance😪
So what will Thielen’s 2019 fantasy production look like??🤔
I have high hopes for Thielen next year😏
The Vikings D is not as dominant as it was in 2017🤷🏼♂️
The Vikings will need to pass the ball if they want to win games🙌🏽
They still lost half their games when they started forcing the run🤣
The Vikings improved their oline through the draft and free agency🏋🏽♂️ When the Vikings were passing the ball, Thielen showed he was the fantasy WR to own on that team, and it wasn’t even close🏌🏼♂️
Prediction: The Vikings will end up needing to pass the ball 37+ times a game, and this will lock Thielen in as a top 10 fantasy WR. He showed he has elite upside, and has the potential to be a top 3 WR next season😎
Thielen is currently being drafted as the 9th WR off the board, being taken at the end of the 2nd round, which I think is perfect risk/reward value🤑
Who will Thielen be in 2019? The best he was in the first half, the bust he was in the second half, or somewhere in the middle? Let me know!! 👇🏼👇🏼
ok so you have us at 5-11 and losing every game in our division..😂😂😂😂🤡 I wanna here it in the comments below
Imagine if this happens 😂
Thielen started the 2018 season with 8 consecutive 100+ yard games scoring 6 TD's over those 8 games and had a ridiculous 96t|74rec|925y|6tds and finished WR1 overall w/ 202pprfpand 25.3 pprfppg -- his teammate Stefon Diggs was WR9at 18.3 pprfppg.
However, the rest of the season wks 9-17, Thielen plummeted to WR25 at just 13.2 ppfppg... meanwhile Diggs was WR16 at 17.1 pprfppg over that time.
The entire passing game for MIN dropped off after week 8. Kirk Cousins was QB6 from wk 1-8 and QB18 the rest of the way. Some of that had to do with MIN changing out OC's in wk 14 to bring in Kevin Stefanski who is a run-first play caller, as is HC Mike Zimmer...and some of that had to do with Dalvin Cook getting healthy and returning in wk 9 (see more of Cook's breakdown in the RB episodes/profiles).
Thielen had career highs in trg (153), rec (113), rec y (1373), 100+yg (9) and TD's (9). That said, he played a bit hurt down the stretch and the Vikings turned to the run once Cook was ready. I expect Thielen to get his once again and be a solid hi-end WR2, but not sure he has the upside this year to be a WR1 as long as Cook stays healthy and the Vikings focusing on the run.
He's my WR15 right now and I think Diggs out performs him overall in 2019.
