Thinking about how I’m going to achieve my dream of being a debt free homeowner. I’m very realistic and know it’s going to take a while - I’m thinking 2/3years in total. But, got to start somewhere. I’m going to split my goals into themes: .
Debt Total - simple, I want to see my debt total decrease until it is at zero. I’m still working out my exact number and will post this soon! But from then on the 1st of each month I’ll calculate what’s left and post my new debt total. .
Income - I have a lovely income. But so much of it is swallowed up with paying things off. So I’m going to try and increase the amount that comes in. There is a chance of a work promotion in about 6months. But I’m also going to try to get some extra £££ though things like eBay, Facebook selling etc. By spending time on this I’ll also be not shopping! .
Bonuses/Benefits - I want to take full advantage of any points cards, bonus schemes with shops, freebies etc. So I’ll be looking into some cash back type apps to see if any of them can help me! .
Credit Score - currently looking at different credit score apps as I want to find mine out and then track it. But scared as I’m guessing it will be awful, but again - got to start somewhere. .
Savings - I have ZERO in savings. Don’t have a savings account, piggy bank, nothing. I’m going to make a budget and learn to stick to it so I can make an attempt to save some money. .
Being Thrifty! - just general money saving. I’ve found some fab accounts on insta and already got a load of tips I’ve saved to look at. From food shopping to diy, etc. Just trying to live better financially, a bit more savvy, watching those £££! .
Wish me luck!
