⭐️ TVA = transverse abdominals or innermost core muscles ⭐️
In many social media pics of postpartum bellies, we see the core muscles engaged, not at rest. This can give unrealistic expectations for the recovery process.
Keeping this in mind, know that the more you practice TVA breathing (or belly breathing/belly pumping), the stronger and more stable your core will become. Please note this is not the same as sucking in your belly! 🙅♀️
How to do it:
1.) Inhale & relax the belly down & out as it expands.
2.) Exhale completely and draw the navel toward your ribs as you hug the belly toward the spine.

There’s no rush. It takes time. But you can and will become stronger and regain your stability with a little effort!
