Color or Black & White?
This week's example of a color version versus a black-and-white image; recently created during my trip to the Netherlands in August.
Edited in ON1, applying the Ilford Delta 400 preset.
Have a look at both, and tell me if you see and notice the same things in both.
Do you agree that rendering an image in color or in black and white can totally change what you see; can totally change your perception?
Which image do you prefer: color or black and white?

“The last birds of Summer”. While the title is not 100% true, I was reminded yesterday that among all the other birds, the majority of the Yellow-rumped Warblers will soon take flight in their migration south. But before doing so, will voraciously forage. There will be some that will stick around; braving the elements. This photo was taken several years ago but was “remastered” recently.
One monastery I missed on my last visit to Ladakh was ‘Hemis’, located high up amongst a small mountain village and host to one of the largest Buddhist festivals in the entire region, I was glad to make it this trip. With the festival having wrapped up just days prior to my visit it was like experiencing the calm after a storm. Just before leaving to return to Leh I noticed the sun lighting up this stairwell beautifully and out of nowhere a local monk appeared and headed up the stairs making for a moment that remains the most unforgettable of my visit to Hemis.
