{Pay careful attention to what I am about to share with you. Focus on your vision. I repeat, focus on your vision including the type of body you want to inhabit, how it will feel moving around in that body. Imagine playing with your kids, retiring Believe it, don’t, but your thought loops will manifest. Period. Whether they be positive or negative, your attention will ultimately become your reality down the line. That being said, the more you focus on your ideal and less on your fit flaws, the greater chance you have of optimizing your progress. Trust me I have bad days, sometimes weeks. I am an emotional eater being that I find a lot of comfort in food. I struggle with sugar addiction. I’ve been known to dive bomb a convenient store at 3 in the morning after being woken from a sugar craving. Yea, that bad. I’ve eaten. Until I feel sick to my stomach only to keep going and making it even worse. I battle this side of me frequently. I am not proud of that BUT, and this is a big BUT, I don’t ever dwell on the failure. I pick myself up, dust myself off again and again and I forge forward. With this approach I string together many more wins than losses. I binge a whole lot less. I succumb many fewer times to sugar cravings and when I do give in, the result of the cravings are much less intense. I am an all or nothing Lind of guy. I used to think in extremes, black and white if you will. There was no middle ground. Either I was the most disciplined fitness enthusiast on the planet, or I was the world’s biggest failure beating myself up after every mistake I made. Today I find balance in. Laser focusing on the positves, the ideals, the vision. It keeps me grounded in reality and forever moving forward instead of being my own worst enemy. What happens when you miss a workout Ay! So you didn’t go to the gym today. It’s okaaaaaay. Relax. You’re not a failure. You aren’t going to lose all your progress overnight. You are still on your way to your fitness goals. If you are like I was, you can be very hard on yourself. You think in black and white and have a difficult time exercising empathy toward your own shortcomings and missteps. I had dad do some step ups prior to this. As I stood behind him and watched him work, something about the sequence of his movement seemed to suggest a huge weak link in the upper portion of his right POS This makes sense considering 🅰️ he was right handed for 52 years before the stroke forced him to figure out life as a lefty and 🅱️ for the majority of the past 12 years he has let that arm just dangle aimlessly by his side. What you see in the video is how I addressed what I saw. . . . It’s really just a tiny piece to a puzzle that is quite literally a living rubik’s cube but he trusts me. When I work with him, I learn how to trust myself. At the end of the day, as it is with all of my clients, any benefit he gets from my training is all due to the amount of effort he puts into every single moment of every single rep of every single set. It has very little to do with me. He would probably say different if you asked him. With all of my heart, I believe he is capable of healing beyond both of our wildest dreams. I don’t know what his heart believes with regard to healing but I do know he believes in me. I’m excited to start sharing more of that and get active on my youtube channel. We’ve been doing a lot of fun stuff lately and it’s cool to be able to share those experiences. My first priority was to get my business stable so I could put more time into creative things. . Some people think it’s just easy to start doing this stuff. We work super hard to be able to land these collaborations. It’s a big time and financial investment to learn to create content, edit and post. It’s not for everyone cuz you’ll be putting in a lot of unpaid hours at first. You just have to trust your vision and manifest the life that you want. Last week, I had an awesome first-time PT session with @bfessette and she told me that the best CrossFit athletes mobilize more than anyone else. It's not just about being strong AF, but about moving as efficiently as possible and using the right muscles at the right time.⁠ ⁠ I'm excited to know my pains are rooted in tension ... I know I've been talking about having shoulder, wrist, elbow pain for quite some time now and while it's gotten SO much better, I really had to ask myself what this all was really about. I knew it was all connected, tracing back to the time I got rhabdo in my biceps and maybe beyond.⁠ ⁠ What was all of this saying about things that are going on with me spiritually and mentally?
