There are times throughout treatment when it crossed my mind Suki may not see her next birthday.
The inability to plan and the chance of having to cancel means very small gatherings are all we've really managed to mark her special day in previous years. Just four years old at diagnosis meant up until today Suki had never had a proper birthday party.
Suki still struggles with food due to all the continual chemotherapy, but has a genuine love of Pizza Express, specifically dough balls and pepperoni pizza! The relief at seeing her finally eat something after days of refusing food due to the constant suffering of nausea has been so rewarding. And so she had her heart set on a party combining her best friends and her favourite food.
It was magical to see her in her element, enjoying pass the parcel, fun, games, dancing, pizza making and eating.
A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at our local Pizza Express for going the extra mile and making it a fabulous fun filled party for all.
She's spent the whole day laughing, smiling, beaming from ear to ear. Days like these are so special, one's we will never forget, they make my heart sing ♥️😍 #birthday #happybirthday #sukistar #YoungLivesvsCancer #pizza #pizzaexpress #pizzamaking #cake #smiles #thankyou #chemotherapy #sideeffects #cwcuk #childhoodcancerawareness
