✨TIPS for getting the most out of your glute day.✨ . . . 1️⃣Take the time to activate your glute muscles (get the blood flowing in there) prior to your lifts.🍑 I use (and highly recommend) @profitnesssure resistance bands for this.👌🏽 Just 2-3 exercises, 12-15 reps, 3 rounds and you’re good.🤩 . 2️⃣Do your heavy lifts first. And YES you need to lift heavy ass weight if you want to grow anything.🏋🏽‍♀️ I looooove bands but they’re to be used IN ADDITION to actually lifting weights. 👉🏽so heavy lifts would be squats, deadlifts and hip thrusts. 3️⃣ When applicable add resistance bands or a glute circle to your exercises. I PROMISE THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!🔥 I don’t like using bands during my heavy lifts to be honest bc I prefer to go heavier rather than adding resistance.😈 Today tho I added my @profitnesssure glute circle to my barbell hip thrusts. Can I just tell you how much more I felt it in the glutes??? Literally they felt like cinder blocks. I was on fire/numb/dead. 💀 Granted I couldn’t go up in weight like I typically do but man oh man I felt the difference. 🌟🌟Also, when you use the bands it increases the resistance which helps to target the glute area. So every video above using the bands I do without too but the feel is completely different. Try it!😏 . 4️⃣ Focus on digging your heals into the ground with all exercises. Make sure you’re using glutes and hams ONLY and your lower back is not coming into play. 🙅🏽‍♀️ Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze at the top of each rep. . 👯‍♀️Just some tips to think about.👯‍♀️ . . . ALSO, I typically would never be okay with posting videos of my gut hanging out (like it is here🤦🏽‍♀️) but honestly this is where I’m currently at. At least once a week someone at the gym asks me if I have a show coming up.😳 Huh? Me? (*Looks over shoulder*) I’m 25-30lbs up from stage weight🐡 and feel so out of shape.🥴 Can’t tell if they’re being funny or tryna be nice.🤷🏽‍♀️ . . Finished off my glute day with this ladder burnout (seen on @jessicaarevalo_ page😏) 10 hip thrusts right into 10 abductors, then 9, 8, etc until you get down to 1. #feeltheburn 🔥 👉🏽you could use a regular band but I prefer the @profitnesssure glute circle bc it’s tighter and also doesn’t roll/fold.👌🏽 👉🏽keep toes flared out and squeeze each time you “thrust”.🙊 . . Taking a little recovery break today to rest and recover. My New Years splits goals are on a slight hold while I rehab and put some attention into opening up some tightness in my hip flexors.⁣ 😫⁣ ⁣⁣ I thought some minor pain was coming from my glute/hamstring but thanks to @crownjewwelsi2i , we discovered the root of the issue is coming from my hip flexors. Makes complete sense with all my kicking!⁣ 🏊‍♀️ ⁣ ⁣⁣ It’s SO hard to slow down, sometimes, but we must! Just like we can over train, we can also over stretch. That’s what happened to me! 🙋‍♀️ I can’t emphasize enough the importance of listening to your body and slowing down. Yes all part of the plan... ⁣harder said than done but we must!! ⁣🙏 ⁣⁣ Sometimes we have to put our goals on hold to actually reach them. ⁣⁣❤️ ⁣⁣ This roller is from @profitnesssure is SO awesome, it vibrates!! 32° and the first 🏃‍♀️of the season done! I've kept up with my training indoors and gave my body the respect it deserves, and pulled back from running for two months. Just tryna prolong starting cardio... 😅 Started and ended today’s glute workout with my bff @profitnesssure glute circle.🥰 If you don’t have one... you need one! Used it prior to lifting to activate dem bunz🍑 & at the end of the lift as a burnout.🔥 It always looks so easy when u see band exercises but trust me it’s not. U can see on the rear view of this one that I almost lost my footing🙊 (def helps to have a mirror for stability lol). . . I’ve been able to do so many exercises for the first time since my injury/surgery debacle and it feels amazing!!🤩 Never take your health & body’s capabilities for granted.🙏🏽 . . Not sure if you care or want workouts 🤨 but here was today’s: ◾️activation all with @profitnesssure glute circle ~ one leg hip thrust ~ frog pumps ~ abductions ◾️barbell hip thrusts SS banded kickbacks (pause & squeeze at the top) ◾️push downs on the assisted dip machine ◾️abduction machine (SS leaning forward & butt raised on this) ◾️ glute kickback machine SS side kicks on this machine ◾️burnout (video) ... Not a super long workout but I went as heavy as possible with weights and just kept moving.💦💪🏽 ... Secondary goals are the same as always💁🏽‍♀️- delts. Glutes. Tie-ins. 🙏🏽 What’s your favorite exercise for the tie-in? 🤔 . . Today was mostly single leg exercises as I find this isolates that area.🍑 Here’s the workout... all sets of 3; 12-15 reps. When u stop & take a quick peek to make sure all this hellish jumping is being recorded.😆 Not today👆🏽 but appropriate for today since I did frickin 220 jump squats in today’s workout.💀 (And for some extra torture - in a good way- try them banded with @profitnesssure glute circle!!🔥) . . Actually trained delts today and threw in 10 squat jumps after each set. Ps. That was my cardio for the day.💃🏽 So the workout ... (3 sets of 12; last exercise 4 sets of 25) Entire workout using dumbbells.💪🏽 🔸overhead press 🔹lateral raise (palms down) 🔸front raise (palms in) 🔹wide upright row 🔸single arm bent over rear delt 🔹butterflies (idk what they’re called... elbows in, arms 90 degrees and flare in and out) . . Good morning & happy Sunday! Back and abs today💪🏽 ... so I used my rest periods between back exercises to do some abs (“active rest”). I’m choosing to train this way bc I’m trying to lose weight & this helps to keep my heart rate up which leads to burning more calories.🔥 . Also, adding resistance bands does exactly what the game implies🤓 ... adds resistance... 😉. This helps to really feel the muscles worked. Feel the burn!!🔥😈 (in a good way) . . I’m using @profitnesssure X-heavy today. Video 1 - bicycle (press with the outer food to keep resistance). You really feel these in your obliques!🤩 Video 2- plank with bands. Hold your core tight, step out with left foot, out with right, then jump out and in. These are awesome and literally I felt it whittling down my abs😂. Excuse the interruption at the end.😠 Video 3- obliques on cables. Pop hip a bit as you pull down weight and blow out all your air. 🗣 .
