Some unilateral work after heavy squats.
1️⃣Single leg squats-3x8 each leg. Squatting down onto the bench allows you to focus on slowing down the eccentric part of the movement.
2️⃣Quad extensions w/ 5 second hold-3x8. Isometric work has been proven to boost strength gains!
Legs were straight 🔥during these after a heavy squat session. Try these on your next leg day!
I used to have this mindset that I had to do certain workouts.
Hit the gym every day
Eat chicken and rice for each meal
That was going to help me get the body I wanted.... Ok it did. But I was miserable !!! But now I’ve found the balance.
It’s not all about killing yourself to achieve a body
That won’t make you happy or love yourself
It comes from the inside 💞
Until you over come those inner feelings of low self worth

Now I’m Free!!! And even better my clients are learning the same freedom!

Could barely finish split squats at the end of leg day 😅 still working on my form with these but they have been clutch for balancing out the strength in each leg and glute. My right side was dominant for a while and contributing to knee pain. These and stiff legged deadlifts for an extra 1-2 sets on the weaker side and everything is much more balanced, no pain 🙌🏽

1️⃣ Barbell Squat
- Best overall leg builder for size and strength 💪🏼
- Keep the weight moderate and shoot for 6-8 reps
2️⃣ DB Walking Lunges
- Absolutely kill your quads along with your heart 😅
- Shoot for 10-12 reps each leg
3️⃣ Leg Extension
- Best isolation exercise for the quadriceps
- Focus on hard contractions and slow eccentrics for 12-15 reps

This exercise is great for correcting muscle and strength imbalances but also great for muscle building and endurance! ⠀
Single Leg Leg Press:
1. don’t lock out your knees!
2. Slow on the way down (eccentric)
3. Explode on the way up (concentric) ⠀
