We googled online about hiking the wave with a toddler and we didn't find much on it. The one article we did find said not to do it. We were really hesitant about hiking with Harvey so we decided if we win the lottery, it's meant to be and we will do it!! So glad we did because he did great and we had a blast!! Here's what we learned! .
🦄 6 miles hike rt but we ended up hiking 8.1 miles because there is so much to explore. It is best if your child can hike at least half of the way and you can carry the other half. We used a carrier @piggybackrider
and it worked great for us. .
🦄 The hike has zero shade so it is really hot and most people have issues with dehydration so bring lots of water.
. 🦄 There are no toilets on the trail so be prepare to bring what is necessary for your child.
. 🦄 There are no trails so it can be hard to find your way. Watch for previous days footprints and follow the directions on the sheet they gave you.
