Being present means fully enjoying the moment that you are in. It is the moment when you are calm and you know exactly what you want. You are focused on what you're doing without thinking about anything else.
I used to think you had to sit under a tree for hours and hours meditating to be fully present, you don’t 🙏 There are so many different ways to bring mindfulness into your daily life, even when you don’t have a chance to sit down in a quiet place.
Sobriety has helped me feel so much more comfortable with myself, I’ve made friends with the little voice in my head and as much as I still love being with people I now thoroughly enjoy quiet times alone too! ✨
I love myself unconditionally because it is essential to my happiness. I do not need anyone else's approval to love myself completely. #dailymantra
Soooo... I had a slip up last week - and it wasn't the catastrophe I was expecting. I've seen so many self-hatey posts of people screwing up that I thought I was going to tailspin afterwards. Amazingly not. Even though I'm not proud - it helped make something crystal clear...💡 💡 Til this point I'd subconsciously been treating abstinence as 'missing out' on booze and fun...counting each day as a milestone of willpower. However, even in the midst of being drunk, it was clear it wasn't fun. It was pretty boring and like usual I was a dick and got memory loss...so it's really not something I feel like I'm missing out on now. Wooohoooo!!! 👌👌Anyhoo, that's where I'm at. How bout you? How are your sober travels going? 😃
It’s not about making sobriety the latest “trend” but realising drinking was never trendy
Oooh you dirty filthy grandmas. No sherry for me anymore thank you very much. Let’s hit the kombucha instead, ladies. Vroom vroom. 🤣🧡
I've got a busy couple of weeks coming up which can feel overwhelming- to manage the stress I break down what I need to do and adjust my daily plans accordingly. Each morning I write a to do list and make a note of what I doing to achieve my goals.
Little steps & actions daily amount to huge long term progress. #odaat
