Hi guys, Dan here.
I’ve decided to take on Dry July in support of Beyond Blue and it’s amazing help it offers.
On March 1st last year, I understood properly for the first time what it’s like to be at rock bottom.
I lost my father who was my closest friend, I felt completely lost and alone in a world that seemed to be closing in on me.
For a long time, I lead myself with a pessimistic mindset that I’ve lost all I cared for and turned to alcohol for help. It affected very close relationships of mine and lead a few to end through my involvement with alcohol.
Still to this day despite my best successful efforts of lessening my drinking, I can have my bad weeks and pick up the bottle.
My efforts in participating is to show that, even in the moment and as hard as it seems, as easy as having a few too many drinks is, it’ll always get better and that there are people out there who will work with you to help get to that final goal.
If it wasn’t for some of my closest friends and family I wouldn’t be improving as fluent as I am today.
Life can throw it’s curve balls, some easy to deal with, some impossible to take on but it’s the obstacles we face, luckily enough, we have amazing foundations like Beyond Blue to show the help and support necessary to improve each persons challenges, let alone the people who care and matter that strive each day to make sure you’re okay.
I appreciate any donation to the bottom of my heart and thank you personally for the help, let’s kick this in the butt!
I’ll also leave the link in my bio! Thank you.
