Day 28 of 30 Day Songwriting Challenge.
32 straight minutes of writing from a picture prompt & words.
Day 16 of 100 days of songwriting. Today I gave another crack at some lyrics for this super intimate song about "breathing in my ear," but nothing came. I'm still not sure exactly what I'm trying to say. It's almost like I'm talking to God, or my inner child—not sure if there is a difference. Instead I listened to Tom Waits, "Hold On" for inspiration and used those chords in a different key to riff a melody idea. There is something deep in there I just don't know how to say it in a way that isn't preachy. #100daysofsongwriting #songwritingprocess #showyourwork
