I was a huge fan of the first season of #Mindhunter
. It was somewhat disappointing when we had to wait two years for a second season. So after a year, when we had no new season, I was left wondering if ol’ @netflix
had cancelled the show. Fast forward to Friday night and Season 2 was ready to binge.
Season 2 started off a little slow for me. The first episode, I found to be rather sluggish. But, once episode two rolled around, the season was intense. The second season is just brilliant. I think the highlight of the season is of course the interviews with serial killers. This time around, we get a lot more and we get the one and only #CharlesManson
. The highlight is still Edmund Kemper who is played by @cameronbrittonh.
The second season sort of throws #BTKKiller
to the sideline after they hint at him being the killer at the end of season one, and now the killer of the second season and overall arc is #WayneWilliams
. A man who they believe to have killed an estimated 28 African American children during 1979 to 1981. I think with today’s current climate and the political landscape. This was a really well done and very topical sort of story to incorporate into the second season. Even sadder is that none of these children have justice. It’s all speculation at this point. Hopefully the case reopens.
The acting as always is fantastic. @holtmccallany #JonathanGroff
are excellent. As is the entire supporting cast. The music by #JasonHill
is haunting. The visuals and cinematography are brilliant. I think that’s #DavidFincher
being behind the creation of this series. All in all, the second season is brilliant. I really hope we don’t have to wait another two years for the third season. I don’t think I could hold out that long. Such riveting and intense television.
