Eloise and I went to @cellardoorfest
yesterday and got silly VERY quickly. Never in my life has $30 bought me so much wine, cheese, and enthusiastic human connection 😍
(Also our outfits matched not only each other but also the bohemian rugs and decor and we were in aesthetic heaven 🙌)
In the spirit of #plasticfreejuly
Eloise packed what was essentially a Hermione’s Handbag of coconut bowls, napkins, finger food skewers, teaspoons etc to ensure we wouldn’t have to miss out on any of the countless yummies on offer! 🥂
We also received a wine glass on arrival 🥳 and we avoided the degradable* water cups by using our wine glasses for water as well.
It was hard not to accumulate a bunch of eagerly proffered flyers and business cards as we sipped and supped the night away, but we thanked the vendors and photographed the info instead.
Aaaand as everyone was herded reluctantly towards the exits, we managed to rescue a bunch of abandoned cheese, olive oil, dukkah, relishes, crackers and bread from the dining tables! No drunken meal was ever more satisfying 🙌
*Degradable in the right conditions, which they won’t receive if they’re put in a normal bin. 😡 Degradable, biodegradable & compostable: know the difference!
