“The best trips are the ones that leave you with a happy heart and a tired body.” Zanna and I have throughly enjoyed spending these last summer days at the grandparents. It’s has been a short but full trip of laughter, cousins, and family. Staying up late listening to my grandparents tell stories of the good ole days and spending hours on the porch swing listening to the crickets chirp. These are moments I try to soak in while I can. For these moments turn to seconds to minutes to days to months to years. And as I watch them and my little cousins get older, I’m wishing to take back the time but yet so happy to watch them grow and explore life. And never taking time for granted. Im truly for this week. For the memories and love. I’m heading home weary but with a heart full of joy.

Recently I had an epiphany while sitting outside on a restaurant patio. I was looking at the cocktail napkin they brought with my drink and was thinking about how it didn’t match the restaurants pallet of colors at all! My mind went straight to all those times I've been called picky, critical, negative etc...I instantly felt bad about myself for a moment about these negative attributes then all of the sudden it hit me- If it weren’t for me being made like this I wouldn’t be so good at my job! You see what we see as negatives can really be positives about how we were created. Being overly critical can be bad, but if I keep it in control it works in my favor with the line of work that I’m in. I service discerning clients who like things "just so". Let's all make sure to not speak words of negativity over ourselves and see the positive traits that we have been given. These traits make us all special. Today I”m thankful for being a “picky person" ⠀
Share me what attribute makes you special?
Happy Sunday! I'm already starting to feel anxiety and stress creep into my mind about the upcoming work week. I'm not going to let something I can control ruin my Sunday so I'm sharing my 5 tips on how not to allow the "Sunday Scaries take over your Sunday" on my blog (link in bio). I'll be practicing these later on this afternoon. Drop me a line below 👇🏼 if you have any tips on how you prep for the week ahead.
This photo takes me back to the ocean. I feel so at home in nature. Where do you feel most at home? .
It’s been a while so I think it’s a good time for some introductions! My name is Suzanne, I’m a Mom and a Micro-Entrepreneur. My passion is helping other women and moms like me find wellness, purpose and abundance ✨ in all areas of their lives. Here are a few fun facts about me that pertain to my childhood in West Africa!:
• I love styling other people’s hair whenever I have a chance since I don’t have a daughter whose hair I can play with! As a young girl, I’d dress up my little sister and her friend for fun! Maybe it was those days of pretend play that inspired her to become a Model in adulthood?
• I grew up in Cameroon, where this Pidgin English saying shuts up any complaints at the beauty parlor - “Nyanga di Hot” or “Looking beautiful hurts!” Sorry, ain’t no way around it 😂
• In Cameroon, some people still consult “Witch Doctors” or traditional, native healers for body complaints and people problems. Boy I’m glad I found Oils...
• I’ve recently discovered that In times of high Stress, I have a cultural reversion and revert to my African accent, expressions and mannerisms! It’s been a helpful way to cope and express my feelings!
Now it’s your turn, tell me something unique about you... 😍
