Woody is dog reactive. Everyday we work to improve his behaviour, some days he’s great and others he’s completely uncontrollable which is why he has a muzzle. Remember, DO NOT compare yourself to other instagram dogs because others may compare their dogs to Woody but even he isn’t perfect! What you seen in photos doesn’t compare to real life. All photos on my account were taken in isolation locations so no harm can occur. At the moment he is getting better with his reactivity and we are taking it slow, attending training classes each week. We’ve been battling his reactivity for a few years now and it’s like we take two steps forward and three back. My name is Maddie and my dog is reactive. My DMs are always open if you need a chat :)
I was inspired by @thelittleemmettthatcould
to share this with you guys and I’m glad I got it off my chest because for a while I felt ashamed and embarrassed to own a dog who was dog reactive but now I’m proud for being responsible about it and now I feel educated enough to own another reactive dog. Don’t feel embarrassed if your dog isn’t perfect! The only thing that matters is that your dog is perfect for you 🖤 @thewondrouspack
has also inspired me to add something to my bio! They deal with reactivity and post some amazing posts about their journey.
Every dog has it’s set of challenges. We love them for who they are! Let’s share our problems with each other. What are you working on with your dog?
