ORSM19 Top Picks: Just when you thought @bigagnes_
couldn’t have any more tricks up their sleeves, they’ve gone and upgraded one of our fave tents with a new patio! Meet the Copper Spur HVUL!
I got into photography to capture the beauty of the outdoors. I stay in photography because I get to capture once in a lifetime moments like this. Big Congratulations goes out to @lesleefrad
and I finished our second state and first official month on the AT yesterday! We celebrated with the most amazing cinnamon raisin, fried egg, apple butter, and sausage breakfast sandwich from Apple Pie Bakery (and later a bbq cheddar bacon melt and garden salad...our third time eating there in 24 hours 😏). Hello New Jersey! Hopefully goodbye rocks in less than a week 🤞🏼#appalachiantrail #thruhiking #pleasenomorerocks
Sandy adventures in the dunes 😊
I’ve been slacking big time on posting. Honestly, the past few days have been exhausting and all I’ve done (or wanted to do) is sleep.
Right now I’m on Doxycycline for possible Lyme Disease or whatever Tick-Borne Illness I have. Currently having various tests done for the illnesses that can be found along the east coast.
I was originally going to be hiking a PA section of the AT this week with one of my tramily members, but that’s been shot to shit.
Not having the energy to even get up and grocery shop is brutal. Basically, this last week has been filled with 90% sleep.
From now on, I’m making sure to use @sawyerproducts
Permethrin as a first line of defence, because I don’t want to deal with this situation ever again.
If you have good movie or tv show recommendations, feel free to comment below. I might fall asleep within 20 mins but 🤷🏻♀️ it’ll be nice background music.
“I hold the hands of people I never touch. I provide comfort to people I never embrace.”
After much deliberation, I have decided to continue my hike from the Canadian border south. I am at approximately 900 miles hiked thus far!
Reasons primarily being that the hike I am desiring to hike is more complimented by a plan with less mountaineering (even though I LOVE mountaineering). When I eventually reach Colorado, I will get to hike the high route, and do so in a more efficient (and comfortable...) way to allow me to finish before my school deadline.
I must unfortunately depart from very good trail family members, as they continue to brave the snowy alpine of Colorado. I am so excited that I have completed the “boring” sections of the CDT, leaving Glacier, Yellowstone, Wind River range, Rockies, and finally finishing with the San Juan’s.
There is much left in store, and I am stoked to get back on the ol’ dusty trail and rock some steady miles with good friends. I just had an incredible week of family reunion, sickness, good beer and food, and rest. Thank you all who have supported me with your warm wishes and prayers, and those who have contributed to my fundraiser for @haitibiblemission

A couple indulgent zero days gave me some good time to reflect on the last few weeks of meandering up New Mexico. I put it down on paper. Or the internet. Same same - link in bio (blog features hairy legs and wolves)
who knew your pack’s rain cover could double as a parachute? 🤯 (swipe)
look, i’m just here to give you guys my expertise outdoor advice 🤷🏻♀️
Last hikers of the day “Late Start” and “Red Bird”. I was given the trail angel name “Butter Cup” because of all the Reese’s peanut butter cups I brought. I saw these two and pulled over “hey want a ride?” “Oh my god yes thank you so much”. “I’ve got cold drinks and snacks in a cooler in the back of my truck”. No words were spoken a blissful glow permeated the well earned sweat and dirt that adorned their faces because on trail you earn that sweat and dirt. I wouldn’t trade the look on their faces for a bag of money. See you two at lone pine.
